Kelly Ripa finished up her first week back at Live With Kelly and Michael by asking her co-host about his divorce.

The show opened on Friday with Ripa and Strahan, 44, talking about divorced parents who keep their children at the same house but alternate when they will live at the home with their kids. 

And at the start of the conversation, Ripa, 45, said to Strahan; 'There’s a great article in the paper and I want to get your take on it because I don’t have a take on it. But I want yours. So you’ve gotten divorced...'

Strahan, who is not currently married and has been divorced twice, looked visibly stunned at first and then slightly annoyed by Ripa's question.

Ripa meanwhile spent last weekend celebrating her 20th wedding anniversary with husband Mark Consuelos.

It must be Springtime because Kelly is certainly feeling sartorially inspired by fresh blooms this season.

Strahan went on to comment that he did not think that the idea of parents switching off who lived at the home seemed like a good idea.

He also said that his ex-wife has a far bigger house than his own, though he did not say which ex-wife he was referring to with that comment, 

Strahan and first wife Wanda Hutchins split in 1996, and have a 23-year-old daughter Tanita and a 20-year-old son Michael.

He and his second wife Jean Muggli split in 2006 and have 11-year-old twin daughters Sophia and Isabella.

Ripa's comment comes just one day after she freaked out when a screaming hairy armadillo projected something into her mouth during an animal segment on the program.

After refusing a napkin, the four-time Daytime Emmy winner cracked: 'I want to take him into contract negotiations with me!' 

Strahan looked a bit stunned by this as well as said, 'OK, wow...' before moving on.

He is set to leave the show two weeks from Friday on May 13, months earlier then expected, for his new job at Good Morning America.

There is still no word on who will replace Strahan yet on the show, but Anderson Cooper appears to be an early favorite among fans.

Ally: On Thursday, Ripa said during an animal segment that she wished she had the hairy armadillo who visited them during contract negotiations

The CNN anchor and his mother Gloria Vanderbilt were appearing on his friend Andy Cohen's Bravo talk show Watch What Happens Live when a caller asked Cooper if he was thinking about making the move to ABC.

'Listen, I love Kelly and I think that show is ... Kelly is the heart and soul of that show. and it's going to go on and continue to be great and I wish Michael the best in his new endeavor,' said Cooper.

'Look, I’m very happy at CNN.'

He then added; 'It would be a dream to work with Kelly, but nobody’s offering anything so.'

Cohen responded to this by telling Cooper; 'You can do it all sweetie. Look at Seacrest. It's the age of Seacrest.'

Ripa has stayed quiet on the subject, but she was seen leaving her home on Tuesday when she returned to work carrying a copy of the memoir the CNN anchor wrote with Vanderbilt, The Rainbow Comes and Goes.

Cooper's contract with CNN also only goes through the end of this year's election.
