But I get to skip the Monday work day! I knew after travelling I wouldn't get to bed early enough to go to work so I am taking most of the day off, will work from home a bit. It's going to be a crappy rainy week, the dog missed me and is so excited right now, he won't calm down. I will on get a few hour's sleep tonight but will be fine for going back to the office Monday.

Ugh, what a Monday. I've been run run running all day and haven't actually gotten anything done. And I just found out I need to do a fast cram session on being a buyer, since apparently I'm the back up to that position now and he's going on vacation - Thursday.

So far this morning, vacuumed the rugs of all the mud the kids drug in yesterday. Ugh. The carpets may never recover and I'm afraid DH will have to drag the carpet shampooer down this week.

Wow, just wow. Ran into another neighbor who has a dog that Sonny likes and so we chit chatted. Over the weekend she found a balloon of heroin on the street. It had fallen or thrown from a vehicle (she saw it being dropped) She picked it up not really knowing what it was. Called the police.

We went to BJ's over the weekend. There was a guy giving a knife demonstration. Some woman with a NJ accent (not meaning to offend any NJ folks here, just setting the stage) ranted about China (the free paring knife was made in China, the knives for sale were made in USA), and how he lied when he said the (for sale) knives were made in USA, etc. She became so belligerent and argumentative, her friend/SO escorted her to another aisle. The boys are still talking about that lady who had a screw loose.
Today, I went to Baja Fresh for lunch. A woman, probably in her 30's, was standing in the middle of the store staring at the menu. I started to walk past her to place my order but realized she may not have ordered yet, I asked her if she was in line. "Yes" she replied. Okay....I got behind her, in the middle of the store. A woman nearby walked up to me and called me a pushy American...in Spanish. Several times. I just smiled and pretended not to understand her. She had a toddler with her and after a couple minutes they were finished and left. The woman who was "in line" in front of me finished her meal then went up and chewed the cashier out, telling them (quite loudly) that they should stop serving old crappy food.

Woke up to a clean living room courtesy of DH and DS. Pleasant surprise!
DS is currently making spaghetti. His idea. He said he wanted spaghetti and got the ingredients out. He's now standing on a chair at the stove putting his special touches on the sauce.

I got my first medal for the virtual race I completed. So cool to have something I earned. After dinner, I'm going for a walk, only 4 miles left in the next race!
