Yes, I do have plans. DS1 is coming to town.

I wish I didn't feel like death warmed over.

Boys brought me breakfast in bed. Fried egg, toast, decorated the plate with slices of mandarin oranges, coffee and OJ. Brunch at the club later.

Happy Mother's Day!

We went out for dinner last night.

My crew will cook for me today.

And Conor is going to take me to Calloways for a couple of new plants.

Have a good one, everyone.smile

Didn't make it to church.

I woke up at 6, took my morning meds, laid back down and basically died till 10:20. No way I was going to make it.

About to load up to go to Red Clay for a picnic and to frolic in the outdoors.

I've been working on Ancestry making my family tree. I am back to 1800 on my dad's side. My head hurts.

Probably. Well, I won't go down to it. Can't get down there now.

But the kids will and they will probably go wadding. Monster loves it too.

You've been to Red Clay? That's just 15 minutes from me.

My Ex husband's family lived in Cleveland for a long time. Now SIL is still there but MIL and her dad are in Jasper and Uncle is in Alabama just up the mountain from Chattanooga.

I've  been  tracing  my family  on ancestry.com. Apparently  king Edward (brave  heart) is my 20th great grandfather.

Holy cow! I'm only up to 4th great grandparents. It's easier on my dad's side than my mom's.  My mom's people came over in the 1900's ,everything before that is in Italy.

At the gate waiting for my flight to Seattle. Anyone have a recommendation for a good place to eat there?

Had Mother's Day yesterday with DD and talked to DD in NYC today on the phone. Can't wait to see her in a few weeks.

Hope everyone has a great day.

There are many places.  I went with Vette to a fantastic Mexican place down the street from the market in Seattle.  Couldn't tell you the name or the street!

On my mom's mother side I couldn't  get past my great-grandmother. But her dad's side I got all the way to close to the 1200s. It is interesting.

Back from the picnic. It was nice.

Didn't get to go to Red Clay though. There was a wedding taking place. Couldn't get near it.

So we went to the fish hatchery. It was nice.

Shaded, quiet, clean and we were the only ones there.

#1's teacher had the class sing "My Girl" and hold up signs that said "My Girl is my Mom". She took a video it and sent to us today.

Today, while out in the country, the smell of blackberries were everywhere. Fresh cut fields, freshly turned ground and blackberries.

It was intoxicating.
