Morning. Was up late. Dd's bff's mom is dying. I went to the house for a bit last night. They live right around the corner. The rest of the family sucks. They left to go out to dinner. BFF has basically been there by herself ever since her mom was in the early stages of being sick. DD is more helpful than the whole family combined.

Sorry to hear that, SB.

My fan in my room is trying to quit working I think. It'll run fine for a reward days and then start making a knocking sound. Last night, I could hear it in the living room. It sounded like a geiger counter. It finally stopped. It's not 2 years old yet.

Morning all. #1 is trying to convince me he's too sick to go to school. Not working. He did wake us up around 2 saying his ear hurt. Not sure if it was an infection or he slept on it funny but I gave him tylenol to shut him up.

The PTO did a silent auction for "experiences". You got to bid on being different people in the school for a day, or spending the entire day with a favorite teacher. There were about 20 different things you could bid on. We bid on principal for a day. Apparently, $26 was the magic number for buying a day as principal.

Yeah, I think so, too. He does have a cold, but has plenty of energy, just congestion in his nose.

That was my view of Puget Sound from the top of the Ferris wheel. What a gorgeous night it was. Had tons of fun out on the town with my fellow seminar attendees. I usually dread doing that, but this time it was great fun!
