Original version:

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child who is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonnie and blithe and good and gay.

Modern version:

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child works hard for a living,
Saturday's child is loving and giving,
But the child who is born on the Sabbath day
Is fair and wise and good in every way.

Good Morning, world!

I'm up . . . for a while at least. The wind is howling, but no rain in sight.

Good morning my wonderful friends!

Wednesday. Middle of the week.

Supernatural is on tonight. What in Chuck's name is he going to do?

Right now, waiting on the boys to get ready so I can run them to school.

It's a bit muggy already this morning.

Hope everyone finds inspiration today.

I was born on a Wednesday. Ugh.

Good luck shopping, FWM!

It's dreary here, but hopefully the sun will peek out later.

The level of man-spreading I am encountering in the airport and on the plane these past two trips is just ridiculous. The area in front of my seat belongs to me, you only get the area in front of YOUR seat. When you cross over into my area, we are gonna have an issue. Don't even get me started on the armrests.

Aw, that's easily remedied. Armrests? The second he moves, slide in. When he tries to put his arm back and yours is in his place, he'll get the not so subtle hint. The legs, put your purse or bag between yourself and him, giving you a little more space. Put your bag in the space in front of you, to the side where he is sitting. And as soon as the plane reaches the safe elevation, drop the tray down to establish your space.

Personally, I always opted for an aisle space because I can become claustrophobic. But traveling with the boys, I have to take the middle seat. At least I can encroach on my son's space.

I have to sit by the window - sitting by the window helps alleviate my airsickness.

Just sitting at the gate, dudes have all the space in front of their seat and are leaning towards or have their stuff in front of mine. Seriously?! Who does that?!

Have you tried taking ginger supplements for the airsickness, MM? It has changed my life.

This is a google image. But it perfectly describes my week.

Does it taste like ginger? I know it's a supplement but sometimes you still get that taste in your mouth later. I abhor the taste of ginger. If it doesn't taste like it, I will try it for sure!!

Try it. Your burps might taste different, but I don't really think it tastes like ginger. Just try one. See if you can stomach it.

I think most men are oblivious as to how much more room they tend to take up. And unless you have the world's largest testicles, I don't buy that you can't sit more compactly. 😐

I suspect this is the natural progression of our more casual society.   It went from this:

To this:

Last time I commented on what people wore to travel, I was gently flamed. Lol. I believe how you dress influences your behavior as well. If you wear basketball shorts and a t shirt to the airport, I am not surprised when I see you man spreading. When I see you in a suit, it is far less common. It happens, but it's a bit more infrequent.

I agree, MM. I tend to dress up when I travel, so does DH. I find I'm treated better if I look like I've made an effort. And it does change behavior.

I agree about the treatment. If you look like you care, and you treat others well, you will get little courtesies. I had a gate agent tell me once that they flat out don't give free upgrades to people who dont look the part. They just "aren't available".

Good morning fellow geeks.

It rained again last night. So, no planting for me this morning.

We now have an outdoor cat. A stray wandered in and has decided she likes us. She looks to be about a year old. We thought, at first, she was a neighbors pet, since she looks well cared for but a little under weight. She either likes us more or someone dumped her here. I'm leaning toward her being dumped since she doesn't wander far from our yard.

HDD was able to catch and hold her yesterday. She is tame but skittish. She will settle in nicely I think.

I am such a svcker for strays...

I have to be comfortable on a plane. G has "travel clothes". Dry fit running pants and a long sleeve tee. But he travels a lot...

I don't judge what makes others comfortable, I just feel more comfortable when I'm dressed better and know that airline personnel and other passengers are nicer.

I dressed up once in a pantsuit to travel from Japan to Hawaii.  Being American and in a black pantsuit, customs wanted to know where my crew card was.

HAHAHAHA. Well, there are two "looks" to avoid when flying. Navy skirt suits and black pant suits. And wear your hair down.

Either show him that pic and ask him what is wrong with it or claim youy space by putting you arms on the rests and widening your leg stances. Or simply ask him in a stern voice if he has ever been taught about personal space.
