A teacher employed at a high school for 32 years was recently banned from teaching there after she used the words condom and boob during a class.
RevaBeth Russell retired from her position at Lehi High School two years ago but still returns to teach as a substitute teacher, according to Fox 13.
Russell, who mostly teaches science, was teaching a math class in April when she used words deemed offensive by both a student and a parent who later filed a complaint that led to her firing. Now thousands are rushing to her defense.

Long time teacher: RevaBeth Russell was reportedly banned from teaching at Lehi High School after she used the words boob and condom in class after a boy called her 'sir'
'A student called her sir, and I think that's what led to the boob comment, ‘teacher Leah Kinyon told Fox13 of what she heard happened.
'She said, "Last time I checked, I'm still a woman."'

Russell says she did not mean to offend anyone and scores of high school students think banning her is too harsh a punishment.
'In high school, many kids say a lot of words, and I'm pretty sure, I'm positive, that they have heard those words and worse words,' student Alexi Terry told Fox 13.
'I had Mrs. Russell sophomore year just for biology, and she was the best teacher I ever had,' Alicia Nelson said.
'I still remember going into her classroom and just feeling so welcome and comfortable.'
Apparently, over 6,000 students agree with Russell's supporters and signed a petition so that she can teach at Lehi again.
'If you agree that these words are not offensive and that Lehi High is only hurting their students by allowing a ban on Mrs. Russell please make your voice heard! Sign this petition in the hopes we can get Mrs. Russell reinstated as a substitute teacher at Lehi High School,' reads the petition.
'Mrs. Russel's ability to teach well is more important than one offended student. There are students who are constantly saying a stream of curse words in the halls and nothing happens to them, as far as we can tell. But one teacher mutters a female body part, as well as "condom" (I don't understand how this is offensive) and she is essentially banned from lehi high school? This is too ridiculous,' supporter Jared Davies wrote in the comments section of the petition.
However, some parents believe banning Russell was a necessary action.
'My son was in the classroom when this went down...he said the things that she talked about were very offensive. Bad enough that he didn't want to talk to me about it,' a parent wrote on social media, according to Fox 13.
A school spokesperson said that Russell is employed by Kelly Services as a substitute and not the school.
'As an employer who conducts business based on the highest standards of integrity and professionalism, we do not discuss employee matters publicly,' they said in a statement.

Who was the boob that decided boob was a bad word?
I'm not sure about "the time you are 2" (as Lady Gaga Snerd suggests), but by High School anyway, I'd bet my bile duct that most of the kids, if not all of them, have heard "boob" and "condom" before. I doubt either word could honestly be traumatizing.
