Groovy is basically "cool for an old person".

Take that how you will.

Martin wouldn't notice if the glasses slapped him in the face. Hope Wayne does better.

FWM, I say "groovy" all the time. My kids crack up. And my siblings love it, like we've never left the 1960's!

DH notices, but doesn't usually say anything. He teases about shoes. #2 counted them in my closet and reported back to DH. Trying to get me in trouble. DH just laughs.

Maybe "groovy" is making a comeback. Personally, I might take it to think that maybe my glasses were a little "retro", meaning they look like something that was popular in the 60's or 70's.

Wicked is a favorite around here. It means either awesome or awful depending on the context. "That's a wicked nice haircut you got" or "That was a wicked bad storm"...lol

Gnarly and sick are the words around here.  Gnarly means bad, sick means good.  Go figure.

Dude, is that a new skateboard?!?  That thing is sick!!!

Dude, that was a gnarly fall off your new skateboard!

Wow I haven't hear gnarly since the 90s.

Of course I'm old & don't have kids so I don't know what the cool kids say around here.

Yes!  I've heard this.  I know about 5 years ago when Sean's sons would visit they used the word random a lot.  They'd say that's so random as a response to an anecdote.
