I had to cancel my first-of-the-season lobster and steamer lunch with a friend, I have an eye infection and was able to get a doctor appt for later today. It's my Friday off.

Eye infection? Just rub some dirt in it! I never. Why back in my day Nobody got "eye infections"! We were too stubborn and mean! Germs were afraid of us! And if'en we did "get an infection" we would gather up some of the good red dirt God created, spit in it and rub it right in there. Did it hurt? Well it didn't tickle! I'll tell you that much! But we did it! Bunch of mamby pamby gotta go to the doctor bunch of youngins these days! You're soft! You whole lot of ya!

I have dry eyes and makes them vulnerable to infections during allergy season. So glad I called to get an appt yesterday. It wasn't too bad yesterday but I called anyway. Woke up this morning and it is nasty.

Do they give you eye drops? Dry eyes suck.

Jesse use to get allergy eye gunk and wake up in the mornings and not be able to open his eyes. We would have to put warm wet wash cloths on them until he could open them.

We learned that the thinnest bit of Vaseline on his eyes before bed stopped that.

The boys went through a pink eye stage when they were in preschool. The gift that keeps giving. We kept a bottle of antibiotics and my father kept a bottle, since he would catch it too. Ugh.

Have you tried Zaditor for the allergies? Or rub johnson's baby shampoo in your eyes and rinse? It will sting, but it cleanses, too.

I've always removed my makeup with some sort of oil....baby oil, vaseline, now EEOV, so my eyes don't dry out at night.

I used restattious or however it's spelled. I should use artificial tears daily but got out of the habit. The infection is not on the eye, it's on the lower lid.

I'm getting sent to career day at one of the local schools. Third, fourth, and fifth graders. I'll have 8 minutes to talk to each group. Not sure what else I'll get out past "Hi, I'm DG the Supply Chain Coordinator for Company" lol. But it's a good excuse to be out of the office most of the day.

Try putting it in the frig. It feels really good when it's cool.

Well, I brought my car in for an oil change. Last one free under warranty. If I am going to trade in the car, now is the time. I would get much more on trade in than I owe, my payments would be slightly lower but will have a car payment longer than I do now of course since mine would be paid off in 2.5 years. If I do this, I won't have any repair bills for years, my old car is on the air bag recall and they are giving me 2500 credit for that. It has a lot more technology/options than my current car - didn't think that was possible since my car is loaded. And it's pretty.

Morning everyone. I had to go to the bank this morning. I came in a different way specifically to avoid the congestion on a specific road. I zoned out & missed my turn so I still had to use the road I wanted to avoid. I could kick myself. I ended up being 30 minutes late for work. Nobody really care that I was late it was just aggravating.

INWTDS sorry about the ye infection. Hope it clears up quick.

So bizarre our office kitchen knife disappeared 2 weeks ago. We looked all over the very tiny kitchen/break room & couldn't find it so I brought one from home. Now today it just showed up in the dish drainer. Nobody knows how it got there.

Busy morning here! Got the "other" quilt finished. Pics in the Scrapbook section. I gave it to oldest DD already. She loves it. I bet she puts it away in her keepsake stash, but I did tell her to use it.

The weather is cold! We will have to cover the tomatoes and peppers tonight. Mid May and a frost warning, darn it.
