Last day for students is tomorrow here. Jesse's last day was this past Friday. He graduates this Saturday.
I got one last kid to get through senior year, then I am done with public schools and going back and forth.
It's dry here, too. The least little wind can cause a dust cloud.

I have a day off! Yay! I just got a ton of topsoil delivered which i am going to use to top off my landscaping project. Soooo, i will be spending the day shoveling outside instead of shoveling here! It's a beautiful sunshiny day. Taking my pup out to enjoy. Oh, and i will take my speaker out and listen to Laura Ingraham!

Put yourself on the administration's hit list. I am currently on 2 weeks off with pay while they "investigate" whether or not I said something that someone didn't like . . .

Day one minus G: Well, I'm alive and not crying! LOL!
Aww... you are going to be fine.
You should pick up your favorite take out and have it outside on the porch or something.

Ugh. What?
*sigh* third time this year. Yet, they never come up with anything that I actually did - not that it stops them from trying. One of my administrators is a sociopath who can't stand to be wrong. Unfortunately he and his 2 henchmen (my direct supervisors) are idiots and keep "investigating" things that make no sense and I can prove either didn't happen or I wasn't involved in. However, every time they try I get 2 weeks off with pay while they "investigate". It's becoming routine.
This time the sociopath was trying to make me jump through hoops professionally that were inappropriate so my union rep reported him to HR, who backed me. So, a week later they put me on investigative leave because I 'might have said something that someone didn't like'. So here we go again.
Last time they accused me of 'telling a patient not to take their psychotropic medication which is unethical'. In their two week investigation they somehow "forgot" to check the patient's chart. Turns out the patient wasn't even on medication (much less psychotropics). Their investigative attempts are somewhat questionable.
This all started about a year ago when I proved that my immediate managers were incompetent. Apparently that reflected badly on the sociopath so I've been a target ever since. Intimidation tactics at work, phone calls at home for no reason, etc. etc. I inform the union every time.
Geez tig wth? Is that why you're applying for jobs?
Yup. I have an offer pending as well. It's time to get out. If they can make a case to fire me, they will. This one seems a little weak, however. Either way. I'm sick of it. After each 'investigation' we have to have a meeting with my union rep, bosses and HR. The sociopath is highly disrespectful, rude and aggressive and HR just sits there and lets it happen.
I've resisted quitting until now because I didn't want him to win. Now he can just bite me.
On the upside, two weeks paid vacation is sort of nice. The first two rounds were really stressful - like PTSD level stressful because of the way he treated me and because he trapped me in a small room while he yelled at me ... totally triggered all sorts of old stuff, but now it's just silly. It's going to be hard to hold my tongue in the meeting and not point out their incompetence. And intimidation tactics. And stupidity. I don't think that that is going to be helpful. Mostly, at this point, I'm just bored. I'm glad I'm not at work though.

Holy crap it's hot in my office. The thermostat says 80. Need to call maintenance. My officemate is laughing and said she's going to take a picture of me sitting in front of the fan. Since I am always cold and she is always hot. Lol

I endured 13 months of similar treatment before I left my job at Indy.
My boss thought she could make her own rules. Union AND HR backed me up, which just made her try harder to break me.

You might just surprise yourself!

Well, seeing that I get a call or text from him every hour, it may not be so bad. He keeps thanking me for letting him do this. Dude!!! What do you mean, LET? I'm happy that he gets to do this!!

I had to rush out of work and I'm in the vet's office right now because when SO came home he let the dogs out and Ajax, my naughty rat terrier was jumping on the fence at the dogs on the other side and he caught his leg in the fence.
SO said he virtually skinned his leg, he saw tendons and bone and everything!!
The doctors said he'll be fine but I feel terrible :(

Try (if you can) to take the positive away from this. You have gotten lots of paid time off and try as they might, they can't beat you.
Do hold your tongue though, or they win. I'm sorry you have to go through this, it truly sucks.
