Does anyone have one? If so, how is the reception? Which one did you get?
All my local stations are 27.5 miles away and the site says I can get the Mohu Leaf 30, but I'm thinking I should get the 50 to be on the safe side, and it comes with an amplifier - but it costs twice as much.

A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
So it's an antenna. I thought antennas didn't work since everything went digital?
Is there a way to rent one to see if it works before you buy it?

No. You need to buy it somewhere that will let you return it. You can do a search on their site to see if it should work for you - put in your address and it will tell you how many channels you should be able to pick up.

My brother does not subscribe to cable, but he has some sort of antenna thing. He says it works for him because of where it's located, and the mountain range does not interfere. Reception bounces off something nearby, but not sure what it is. He told me about it several years ago when I was staying with him. Everything else he'd stream off his Mac.
