Tedious Thursday

I know what to do_sometimes · Frozen Sucks!

I work 9+ everyday!

So the dog peed in my room around midnight. grrrrrr I think he was PO'd at me.

My friend who woke up to a dead cat. It's her DH's cat (they've been married for 4 years, cat is about 15) DH is on a business trip. She has two toddlers. She doesn't know what to do. She knows she has to get it out of the house.

On the bright side it was 11 hours call back plus holiday pay. I also did some call back Sunday AND working all week so i will have a great paycheck. Now my three trips to the doc in one week won't hurt so bad.

On the bright side it was 11 hours call back plus holiday pay. I also did some call back Sunday AND working all week so i will have a great paycheck. Now my three trips to the doc in one week won't hurt so bad.

That's always the way. The extra money comes in but there is always a bill looming.

So I made the banana cupcakes last night. The recipe said it made 18, and I needed 27. So I doubled the recipe. Figured I'd have a few leftover to have at home. It made 52.

I'm giving my parents several to take home, unfrosted. Mom said she has frosting but to be honest, they taste a lot like banana nut bread so they really don't need frosting.

Tonight I'll frost & decorate the ones left as minions, aka Pinterest fail.

Ad, the you know what hit the fan last night.

Paul finally showed us his grades from Spring semester.

They weren't good, and now he's in serious trouble.

He'll be heading up to UNT to retake calculus this summer. (Classes start Monday.)

If he doesn't get a B, they won't let him register for fall classes.

I love that child to death.

But he has really let us down. cry

IKWTDS, tell your friend to use a trash bag, turn it wrong side out, put it over the cat and pick it up, dropping the cat in as the bag turn right side out again. Then bury it.

FNW, you could freeze the extra cupcakes and then you have them for later.

Some body has to go to the grocery store. I don't want to go but if mom goes all she buys is junk.

Think I'll wait til after dark to go. Maybe it will be cooler.

Oh, I would be flipping out. Actually, I did once. I was with #1 at the ENT and one hour later we hadn't been seen. For an appointment I didn't feel was necessary but was guilted into by the pediatrician. #1 had tubes in his ears when he was 2 or 3, and they came out about a year or so ago, per the allergist. Pediatrician saw "something" over the drum which he thought might be part of the tube and didn't believe me when I told him the allergist removed it (it was almost out and she helped it along) and said if he was right, it could affect hearing, etc. So reluctantly I made an appt. I was furious by the time he was seen. It wasn't pretty.

Really, eye doctors are a dime a dozen. Some even take walk-ins.

Right? I had to wait for a few hours once. I wouldn't have, but needed the check up before I could do whatever it was I was supposed to do. I was PISSED when they asked us all to wait outside because the office was closing for lunch hour. Me and about 6 other people hung out on the grass. Should have ordered pizza!

I waited 45 minutes total then left. This was after 20 minutes with the technician who does the pressure test, the sight exam, etc. For the past week their automated system emailed me 3 times to remind me not to be late and texted twice. Had I waited for the doctor then also picked out glasses I would have been there about 2.5 hours. Not happening. When they knew the doc was behind schedule they should have told me and suggested I pick out the glasses while waiting. That would been acceptable. But not one word from them. The staff sucks big time.
