The little things we're grateful for

I think we can all agree that we are grateful for our friends, family, health, homes, etc.

But what about the little things?

I'm grateful for scented candles, for mechanical pencils & fine-point gel pens.

I love choosing a bookmark to use when I'm starting a new book.

 Fresca, That's a diet soda...correct?

If it is, please don't ever use it as a mixer with alcohol.

Don't use "diet anything" as a mixer, with alcohol.

(It's probably fine, if you only have one or two drinks a month. It's very dangerous to your liver, if you have several drinks a week.)

Diet soda and alcohol, is putting toxin on top of toxin. The liver works double time, to get it out of your system.

Please don't do it.

Sips of hot, strong, rich coffee when I first get up in the morning.

Seeing my lipstick marks on the top of sweet little Honey's head, where her hair is turning lighter with age.

I found beef bacon. It isn't as salty and it's really good.

So much better than turkey bacon.

If you can find it, try it.

OMG I second the working A/C FWM!

Cable TV & my DVR.

Clean sheets. Do any of you remember Dharma & Greg show? Dharma always celebrated "clean sheet day/night". I do too!

Laughter with a friend(s). I mean when something strikes you as funny & you really laugh & can't stop laughing. You almost stop & then make eye contact & start all over again.

Bubble baths. For that matter hot water since it's been less than a year since my water heater died & I went over a week with no hot water. TRUDY!!! Aren't you suffering with this now?

Flower gardens in bloom.

Not weird!  Clean sheets are amazing.  I usually spary mine with linen spray.  My current is Verbena but I just ordered a Cherry blossom spray & a citrus spray.  I can't wait to get them but citrus might not work for sheets.  Citrus seems "wake up" scent to me.

BTW - Dharma & Greg was funny. D was a free spirit flower child (Jena Elfman) & G was old school money attorney (Hotch on Criminal Minds).  Most of the actors are recognizable now on other shows.  1990s era but funny.

Strange but I hate the scent of anything powder.  Powder fresh deodorant or actual talcum.  It makes me gag.  If someone even has on face powder & hugs me & it touches my hair or clothing I have to take a shower.  I totally get the air hugs/kisses because of it.

But - sauerkraut doesn't bother me biggrin

I bought a lavender linen spray, and when it ran out I started making my own. I love it.

I do love me some sauerkraut and fresh sheets! lol. I just opened my tin of colored pencils and realized there's no better smell than fresh shaved pencils. I'm grateful for that. But most of all I'm grateful for my little granddaughter that has brought so much joy to my life. I got to babysit her overnight last weekend and it was amazing and humbling.  I enjoyed every second.  Here she is napping in my bedroom.  Just kill me now!  lol.  aww

I really must be....NAOW just mention lavender & that is another popular scent I don't like.

I guess no sleepover for me at your or NAOW house!

At NAOW I could snuggle with her DSHP dog.  My mom is now thinking about working with GSHP rescue since she is about to retire at the end of the year..
