I just woke up, DH just went back to sleep. He told me that he saw the biggest bug he had ever seen in his life (in OUR kitchen) but failed to kill it.
Up, need to start some housework. I haven't done much for over a week due to a hurt foot/ankle and DD hasn't been around. Work is all I can manage before I have to put it up for the rest of the day to keep the swelling down.

I am running away from home...

I would too!

Dog woke me up early, I really wanted to sleep in. Such is life. I have to mow the lawn today but it is so foggy out right now so the lawn is wet, need to wait until later. Not much happening today, just errands.

Don't stress over the housework. Just take care of yourself!

He said that it was some kind of a beetle, so it's crawling rather than flying. That's all I know.

It's really hard to find things they like in the morning. They aren't much on breakfast. Last weekend I told them I was taking them to Bob Evans and #1 didn't want to go. By the time we got there (which was around 9:30) they were hungry and scarfed down their food. But at 7 or 7:30 when they wake up, nothing sounds good. Except cookies or cupcakes. LOL
#2 likes those and often times has them. #1 won't even try them. He's pickier but improving. Last night I was shocked when he wanted to try the chicken breast stuffed with proscuitto and cheese I made.
My parents leave on vacation today. They will be gone a whole week. What can I get into.....
have a GREAT weekend all!!
My advice is NOT to go into their nightstands. There are some things you should not know about your parents.
Gawd when I was a kid I found my parent's anal beads. I picked them up wondering what they were when my older brother walked in and screamed PUT THOSE DOWN RIGHT NOW!
I don't think I've ever dropped something so fast!

Or was it a bad five minutes that you milked all day?

This is Jesse. Seems he can't even bring himself to put food in his mouth that early.
And a lot of time he'd rather have things like chili or beef stew in the mornings.
I didn't care as long as he ate.

Oh, the rain hasn't stopped...Now it's really coming down.
DH and I just watched Master Chef. It's the start of Season 7.
flan
I turned it on last night and got yelled at by Mr. I-Have-To-Watch-Bee-Movie-On-Repeat-Or-I-Will-Die so I didn't get to watch it. Any clear front runners? Funny parts? Cheftestants who have business being there? I like spoilers so no worries about ruining it for me.

They only gave away 10 of the 20 aprons, so it will continue next week.
I honestly can't remember the selection process from past seasons. This time they picked 2 guys and said: "Cook steak." Two gals and said: "Cupcakes."
Graham is gone & I hate the blonde baker chick...Ms. Tosi.

I saw on Richard's board that Graham is gone. Did Graham say why he was leaving?
I really need to catch up on my shows. Maybe when my case of toddler-itis goes to preschool.

Why would you let him get away with a temper tantrum like that because he wasn't getting his way? Sounds like it would have been a good time to learn to share or go to his room and be alone.

Because a TV show isn't a hill to die on for me.
For the stuff that actually matters, he knows how to share.

Apparently it's a hill to die on for your child - resulting in inappropriate behavior that controls your (as the parent) action. With children in my life (and yes - there are a number who I help raise) that is not a behavior that approves as the child grows up. especially if they learn they can control a parent via temper tantrum. but, each to their own, I guess.
