Up, need to start some housework. I haven't done much for over a week due to a hurt foot/ankle and DD hasn't been around. Work is all I can manage before I have to put it up for the rest of the day to keep the swelling down.

Dog woke me up early, I really wanted to sleep in. Such is life. I have to mow the lawn today but it is so foggy out right now so the lawn is wet, need to wait until later. Not much happening today, just errands.

He said that it was some kind of a beetle, so it's crawling rather than flying. That's all I know.

Oh, and it was last spotted in our dishwasher.

It's really hard to find things they like in the morning. They aren't much on breakfast. Last weekend I told them I was taking them to Bob Evans and #1 didn't want to go. By the time we got there (which was around 9:30) they were hungry and scarfed down their food. But at 7 or 7:30 when they wake up, nothing sounds good. Except cookies or cupcakes. LOL

#2 likes those and often times has them. #1 won't even try them. He's pickier but improving. Last night I was shocked when he wanted to try the chicken breast stuffed with proscuitto and cheese I made.

This is Jesse. Seems he can't even bring himself to put food in his mouth that early.

So I keep easy to take snacks on hand.

Granola bars, breakfast bars, cheese crackers with peanut butter, trail mix.

And a lot of time he'd rather have things like chili or beef stew in the mornings.

I didn't care as long as he ate.

Apparently it's a hill to die on for your child - resulting in inappropriate behavior that controls your (as the parent) action. With children in my life (and yes - there are a number who I help raise) that is not a behavior that approves as the child grows up. especially if they learn they can control a parent via temper tantrum. but, each to their own, I guess.
