Gonna be another wild weather day.

Don't know if we will need flippers or anchors.

Have a good one.

Going in late to work. ex DH decided to not communicate with me about picking up DD, he instead emailed DD. Told her he was picking her up at 10 this morning. What an azz, Last week I had told him she had to be picked up last night since I work today.

Every time he acts as if he doesn't need to coordinate with me I try to remind myself that soon, as in just a few years, I won't have to deal with him as much.  It certainly isn't the worst he's done!

Isn't there a day he is supposed to pick her up?  If he fails, she shouldn't be available for him until it's convenient for you.

Oh if I had to attend a meeting in person at the office, she would not be available.  But he makes the plans with her to get her all excited so I would be the mean person to squash them.

Ugh, IKWTDS.

We are supposed to get a lot of rain. Dad dug out a plant from his yard and brought it over to us yesterday. It needs to get in the ground, so if it stops raining long enough, I'll see if I can plant it. I'm working from home today. Traffic nightmare from metro's safetrack project.

Can you believe the sun is out?

Waiting on the afternoon booms to start.

IKWTDS, I'm sorry your ex is a dick.

Just got back from lunch a few minutes ago. The table directly in front of me was horrible to our waitress. Every time she walked by they wanted something. Then they claimed a fly had landed on one of their plates & wanted the meal comped. She agreed to take that entrée off. Then they complained that the plastic bag that you put the Styrofoam leftover box in was wet. It was wet because they put their glass on it. Just crazy. We commented to her about the behavior & she told us all kinds of crazy stories about her server career. She was very nice & a good waitress so we gave $20 tip. Ugh, I could never be a server.

 What's jerks!

When I worked as a server, we had a customer steal tips.

When I was in college, my cousin L set me up with a girl from her dorm, for a Saturday night double date

After dinner (at a diner or equivalent), I paid our check and left a tip on the table.

This girl picked it up. She said, "The dorm doesn't serve on Sundays, and I need it more than the waitress does."

Of course, I left the tip again on the way out.

If she'd been even a little bit friendly with me, I'd have offered to come back Sunday and take her to brunch and dinner.

She had so much clothing above her waist that if I'd kissed her and tried to hold her breast, neither one of us would have felt it.

If she took the waitresses tip & said that I hope you never would have considered a second date.

Northern BC is in another state of emergency. This time due to flooding rather than fire. All major routes in the north are blocked off and some pretty major towns are isolated. Even some areas of towns are cut off - can't get to hospitals, can't get out, etc. 3 major highways are closed.

Right? If it's not one, it's the other. They just started moving people into Fort Mac and now Fort Smith is being evacuated. Thank goodness I don't live north. The only thing that can take me out is a giant Japanese earthquake and the resulting tsunami!

Even so, I think I'm far enough inland in the city to survive it. Who needs electricity anyways?

Northern B.C. town devastated by record flooding
The Canadian Press Posted: Jun 12, 2012 4:22 PM PT Last Updated: Jun 12, 2012 9:14 PM PT

More than a dozen homes in Lower Post, B.C., were flooded.

Flooding has devastated the tiny First Nations community of Lower Post, in northwest B.C. near the Yukon border.

Most residents in the community of just over 300 were evacuated in two groups over the weekend after heavy rain and melting snow pushed the Liard River over its banks.

The river rose to eight meters, a full metre above a record set in 1972, and flooded more than a dozen homes, while also washing out roads and knocking out power to most of the town.

Daylu Dena Council deputy chief Peter Stone says their people have been devastated by the flooding and the community has a limited capacity to deal with an event of that scale.

An emergency reception centre at the local elementary school has been set up for those few members who weren't evacuated to the nearest community of Watson Lake, Yukon, about 20 kilometres north of Lower Post.

At one point the Alaska Highway was washed out both north and south of the community, but the southern route has since been repaired and reopened.
