I like Costco but haven't been in years. I would write a letter, cancel the account and demand a refund of all fees and membership charges. They obviously have an issue with the card and it could be a long time before it is straightened out. You don't want to get caught up in all that.

We switched to BJ's a year ago and haven't looked back. There are far fewer crowds. The selection is just as good, maybe even better as they have more options and some of the "bulk" items aren't as HUGE as they are at Costco. We can shop without getting our toes run over by some crazed shopper is probably my #1 reason I like BJ's better.
To go to Costco, or Sam's, we have to take several coolers.
It's too far away really.
And I'm a comparison shopper.
I have yet to find anything I can't get my local walmart for the same price.
So why use the gas?

We don't have the Costco Visa and won't be getting it. We do have a membership though. It saves an average of 10 cents per gallon on gas. I also like Costco for eggs, salad mix, rotisserie chicken, tortillas, and a few other things. Love their muffins.
