Oh gosh, by little things, did you mean something that just cost a buck or two?

I revise my answer...my fly swatter, is my best friend.

(I think every fly, in Tarrant County, would rather be in my house....than living outside.)wink

I kill at least 20 flies a day.

They don't like the heat and humidity, either.cry

I just bought a bamboo back scratcher since DH went back to work. Love it. We have an HEB here and I never go to it.

Oh, and I have a nice, healthy bamboo privacy "fence" in my back yard.

It's awesome.

I really like my:

Dyson Animal.
__________________________________________________________________________

I am so close to pulling the trigger on buying one. I take it that it works well on cat fur? The only recommendations I have had IRL are dog owners.

My cat owner friend swears by the Miehle.  I have the Miehle and like it, but I'm intrigued by the dysons.  I needed the Miehle because it was the highest rated for HEPA.

My mom likes her Shark too Oh4.

I have never heard of Miehle. I don't really need the HEPA, I just need something lightweight & easy to use on the stairs for cat fur.

But, there are a lot of good vacuums out there.

I guess it depends on how much you want to spend.smile

Mine does but I don't use it much.  The crushed ice gets clogged up in there if I use it too much.  Then it is a PITA to dig it out.

Same here, Lexxy.  It's not worth it.  I just used the regular ole cubed...

I used my ice maker more during summer when I add ice to drinks I take outside to keep them cool. Otherwise, not a fan of iced drinks. They hurt my teeth.

Wow - I use so much ice that I have to refill the one in the kitchen with ice from the one in the basement. They are both GE so the cubes are the same.

That would be freaking awesome!! I think I'd faint from happiness if I had one of those in my kitchen!! Is it on her fridge or is it a stand alone ice maker?

It's a stand alone, under a counter.  She lives in a spec house, so everything she has is state of the art.  But she has to move every 2 years...

Is her husband a builder?  One of my clients did that.  He would build these amazing one off houses, live in them for a bit while building the next one, sell & then hop into the next one.  Too exhausting for me.  I'm never moving again until I need assisted living.

Thanks!  You guys are really making it easier to part with that $500.  I usually buy Dirt Devils for $45 so $500 for a vacuum is huge for me.

Yes he is! They literally pack up their clothes and leave everything else behind.  Furniture, dishes, all décor.

We are the EXACT OPPOSITE of each other.   She doesn't even have her own Christmas decorations...

I have a Dyson, it's not the Animal, but the regular one, and it works really well. My grandma gave me her old Shark when she moved so I keep that downstairs and I was surprised how well it works too.

Oh, she has Christmas.  She has to rent the decorations though.  She has a designer decorate everything.  Last Christmas, my nephew told me how much he loved my tree.  That my tree represented our lives.  I still have the hand made ones my kids made when they were little.  She has none of that...

My niece was homecoming queen her senior year.  Before they even got to the CAR, my sister had lost her crown.  She asked my niece why she wanted it anyway...was she planning on wearing it again? nonononono

Wow!  I wonder how much that costs?  I have plenty of decorations.  I just want to pay someone to put them up & take them down & haul the tree away.

Poor niece that svcks.  By that age though she should have known not to trust mom with her crown though since it sounds like this is her usual MO.

Love my miele, but I don't use it much since I have someone come in and clean.  The Miele is so powerful and quiet.  And yes, the HEPA filter set up is the best.
