Thank you one and all for your Birthday greetings.    I had a great Birthday as 77 is a "big deal" over here.   Went out to dinner with all my wife's family, got lots of money (as is the custom here) but also got a nice short sleeve shirt made in Italy and, of all things, a Mont Blanc ball point pen....   Hm..     Anyway it was a great day and I am looking forward to 88, which is the next "big deal".

One little Mount Blanc pen story,

Several years ago, my then-manager sent me his Mount Blanc pen, which he'd won from a former employer.

It wasn't writing. He gave me the address of the Mount Blanc store in Manhattan, and asked me to get it fixed.

I found the place, parked in a garage, and waited 20 minutes while they fixed it (free).
