Greet everyone I meet during the day while walking, shopping, etc. Get a lot of surprised looks, then a smile and a greeting back. Guess this reflects my small town upbringing where you had better greet everyone. LOL Since there are so many elderly people living alone in our area they really seem to like a greeting.
I volunteer for Meals on Wheels. The smiles and thanks I receive make me smile all day. Spreading sunshine to others is a great way to receive it in your own life.

I smile and say hello to all my coworkers. Even the grumpy Union guys.
I also keep the candy basket and snack drawer in my office well stocked. Everyone knows, it's there when anyone needs it. I have assorted candy, little bags of chips and cheez its. And I also stock big bottles of tylenol and Advil.

I spent some time with a dying woman this morning.
She has 3 weeks left to live and is wanting to document some memories for her children to have after she is gone.
That's very nice apple. My Dad used to tell us these stories when we were young and he continued to tell them to our children. When he was diagnosed with brain cancer and knew he didn't have long to live he hired a woman who did shorthand and had her write down some of his stories as he told them to the kids. Someday I will get them published but for now they're just a very special gift he left for future grandkids and great grandkids. Maybe even more generations.
