I'm up. So tired. Worked almost 14 hours yesterday. OC till Monday morning at 7am. Took Monday and Tuesday off because my PDO'S are about to max out and I'll be darned if I lose hours. We did interview a lady yesterday that we loved and she will be getting an offer. The end of the every other weekend of call bs is getting close! Have a great day all!

I heatd that movie is cute FWM. Enjoy!

Oh my goodness SB. Go back to bed!

It sounds like you need more rest.

I hope they hire that lady and the call ends soon.

Hang in there.

SB, light at the end of the OC tunnel!

I want to see that pet movie too, heard it is good. That one and Dory, still haven't seen Dory.

I'm going to just do some gardening today, many of my plants are blooming their flowers, I guess the drought is actually helping them. It is in the low 70's, rained overnight. Feels great. I may even mow the lawn.

Ewwwwwwww, SB!

What is OC?

DH & I went out to dinner last night while my parents had dinner with the boys and used the pool. Boys are wiped out this morning. DH had an early tee time but I managed to sleep a little while longer after he left.

Gloomy here and we're all just laying around. I did have my shower already so I'm dressed at least. The hamster cages stink so I think it's time to figure out where hamster #2 is peeing....

Not much on my schedule today. Going to get a mani/pedi and then maybe into work for a bit. My boss is working on a big project and has me "on standby" if she needs me.

We saw Secret Lives of Pets a couple weeks ago. Loved it. We were all laughing the whole time.

I was up early this morning too. I'm guessing it's just a little bit of jet lag. Usually I am not an early riser, lol.

I hope your OC ends soon SB.

Have fun at your Mani/Pedi DG! That sounds really relaxing.. going in to work after, not so much. But I guess you gotta do what you gotta do, lol.

I think we might take DD school shopping today. I think we have a lot of the needed supplies so I need to inventory- but the big trip will be for clothes, she has grown out of almost her entire wardrobe. Figured I better get a jump on it since she needs so much.

Later we are going up in the hills with friends for dinner.

I decided to have lunch first. I picked a seat in an empty part of the local diner. Right after I sit down, some guy comes in a sits in the booth behind me. It would seem he's a regular because everyone in the place is coming to talk to him. So much for my quiet lunch reading 👿

Eta: half the place is empty, and I sat over here because there are at least 10 other empty booths around me. And he sits right next to me.

Morning!

It's a steam bath here

20160730_115549-1.jpg

The steam on our windows.

Few things to do today.

Hope the weekend is uneventful, work wise, SB.

Haven't seen either of the mentioned movies but Caitlyn has. She said they were both really good.

Happy Saturday, ya'll!

This runs me nuts and it happens in parking lots too.

I just don't get the need to sit right on top of someone. In your case, could be his regular booth. But, I still get that it's annoying.

Took the trash off, got some groceries, now home trying to cool off.

It's so hot and humid, ballgames/practices are being cancelled.

We had about .25 inches of rain sweep through and now it's a little better out. Spent some time in the pool.

Getting ready for our trip to see dd and her family for my granddaughters 4th birthday party. My son and his family is going too. First time in years that I would have my whole family together.

I think it must have been his regular booth. He quieted down once he got his food. So it wasn't horrible the whole time.

It's an ornamental green grass/bush with horizontal yellowish stripes on the reeds.  It is beautiful in a garden with the day lilies.  After a few years, the plant can be 5" high.  I have two plants and they are both about 2" high.  Needs full sunshine and doesn't need the watering. The picture isn't mine but mine should look like that in another few years.  Also, our cold winters don't kill them.  Late fall you just cut them all the way back and the next year they grow even bigger.

So the priming of my railings is done, took quite awhile. One of the chatty girls, 14YO came over while I was priming. She is taking care of the dog this week. She is a nice sweet girl but is a chatter box and usually after 1/2 hour of listening to her drone on I become annoyed. But what good company she was when I was working! Kept me company. Will have to invite her down when I have other outdoor jobs to do. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the painting done. The primer is white. My neighbors are probably scratching their heads and whispering "why did she paint her railings white?"

Well, it looks like the movie has been put off until tomorrow.

Wayne is going to get the tickets today, for the first showing at 9:55am.

I hope the joint is empty. I don't do well in crowds.

Fingers crossed.

I also want to get there early enough, that we will be in the top row, with no one behind us, to annoy me.

I hate going to the movies.

People suck.cry

If I have another bad experience...this will be it, for me.

Plus of a small town : unless it's opening weekend of a big movie, you're usually one of only a handful of people at the theater. I've been the only one at the movie more than once.

We saw secret life of pets the first saturday it was out, at 7:30pm. And the theater wasn't even close to full.

I don't go to theaters anymore because the seats are way too low for me.

Why are those seats so low?

And they are too close together.

I need to be able to stretch out my legs.

But I miss going.

And the crowds are part of what I miss.

I know that I probably sound like the biggest bItch ever.

But, I can't take the sound of gum cracking...chewing ice....loud pop corn chewing.

It drives me up the wall.

(I blame my Grandmother, who lived with us. She never wore her dentures, except for Mass on Sunday. To have to listen to her eat, would turn the strongest of stomachs. My Dad used to say, "She didn't chew her food...she beat it to death, with her gums." It wasn't pleasant to be around. And it made me very sensitive, to loud eating. I'd rather stay home, and watch a movie in peace.)cry

I really hope the theater will be close to empty, tomorrow.

And that we get the top row....so I don't lose my mind.wink

FWM, I do not like full theatres either. I LOVE the new AMC theatres that have the recliners. 3-4 seats were replaced with one recliner and you select your seat on line. Best decision ever by the theatre.

FWM: I'm not a movie theater person either. I feel it's too overpriced. There's not that many movies that I feel like paying $10 to see. I get the souvenir cup at the beginning of the year so I can get a drink when I go ($1.50 per refill) but I don't buy other concessions. I can't stand when someone has to sit right in front of me then recline their seat way back into my lap. Granted, that's only a problem when I'm with other people. When I go by myself, I sit in the very front. But, if I never stepped foot in the theater ever again, I wouldn't care one bit.

DH is the opposite. He loves the whole experience. He will buy the obscenely overpriced popcorn because he's duped into the whole movie experience thing. I roll my eyes each time and lean away from him during the movie because the greasy, fake butter smell nauseates me.

For me it depends on the movie. Star trek and star wars needs to be watched at the movies as well as James Bond movies. Love stories I can wait for pay per view. Sadly I may not be able to see star trek in the theater, to much going on.

Sister: tell me if this is crazy, what if we did a big family vacation? Like rent a cabin for the five of us?
Me: you mean other than the fact there are six of us?
Sister: oh, right, I forgot nephew (her son)

 This is me.

The Transformer movies were absolutely amazing in the theater.

I had the BEST theater experience when I was about 13-14.

The movie was Dune.

The screen was actually a big movie screen.

I was the ONLY person in the theater.

It was epically awesome!
