Can't shake a dream

Saturday night I had a dream about a baby.

He was about 10 months old, and the prettiest little cherub you've ever seen.

White blonde hair, ice blue eyes and a smile that could melt the hardest heart.

And his name was Levi.

And I was told he was mine and I was in love with this child but I keep asking how was he mine.

It was so real.

Lily, you don't think you might be....

Anyway it sounds like a beautiful dream; wonder why you kept asking how the child was yours instead of just accepting it as a beautiful gift....

I always heard if you dreamed about a baby, it was a warning that someone was going to die.

Is there a baby that you miscarried perhaps? A little angel in heaven waiting for you?

I have one in heaven that miscarried at 13 weeks. I named him Samuel. I can't wait to meet him! To be honest, I also had another miscarriage at 4 weeks pregnant, but I have no idea if it is a girl or boy, or if a soul was given to the child... so... I suppose if it was given life and then died, I would have two in heaven?

I lost a boy at around 7 weeks. I never named him, but planted an American Holly tree in our backyard. That tree is huge now!

Name him!

I went and saw Colton speak at a church here in Denver, and he reiterated this in the movie... our unborn children have a front row seat in the throne room.

No one else is pregnant.

I did lose a baby, very, very early.

But I named him Drew.

I don't know now.

I thought maybe if I told someone, it would help shake the dream.

Okay, now I'm crying.

Before I met DH, I planned to name my son Jeff. Had I had a girl, she would have been named Sierra. Those were my last words before the anesthesia took hold of me when I had the D&C to remove the boy. I remember seeing the anesthesiologist and doctor pause and look at each other when I told them.

Jeff it is.

I had another "chemical" pregnancy, but I have no idea whether a soul formed.

In the years before The Pill,

it was common for a woman to have a baby about once every 18 to 24 months.

But 1  out of 4 pregnancies would self-terminate.

My mother , for example, lost her second pregnancy.

And never talked about it.

 JMHO,

I don't think there is a soul until there is a functioning brain.

Judaism teaches that the soul enters with the first breath.

Some might find this idea comforting.

I believe the soul is present the moment a child is conceived.

Then I shall name that one, Bailey. Which could swing either way...

I believe that too, Lindley.

The Bible tells us that God knew us before we were born. That He knit us together in the womb.

No.

Although I do have dreams about babies often.

In those, I go through labor and deliver the child but when I go to pick it up, it's gone.
