I'm booting up my work laptop, I am afraid of the amount of unread emails I probably have.

Doesn't that drive you crazy? Coming back after a vacation sucks - sometimes it makes you wonder if the vacation is worth it.

I have it the worst in my office. I can cover everyone's job while they are gone - but no one can cover mine.

20160731_222046-1.jpgHey! Monster gets a daily named in his honor?!?!

He says he is humbled by this and would like to say thank you for remembering him. He would also like to wish each of you an absolutely wonderful day. Belly rubs for everyone!

So I dropped Aaron off at school. He was in a jovial mood.

And now, it's just Monster and me at home.

Jesse and mom have been gone since Thursday morning. I miss Jesse.

Caitlyn has been busy, barely home.

And dad is always out messing around, working or someting.

Everyone will be home this evening.

That is me. I took 2 days off last week and was in a good portion of yesterday to catch up. The only thing anyone did of my work was something I specifically said NOT to do. I'm sure she thought she was helping, but it just made more work sorting out which tickets she entered and which she didn't.  Which is why I said to just leave them all for me.

But when other people are on vacation, I'm expected to cover their whole job while they are gone.

Small world. The electrician to hook up my A/C is the person I sold my first house in my current town to, sold it because I was getting married and building another house. He was blown away that I had a daughter 11, last time he saw me I had a kid who had just started college. He is still laughing. good to know an electrician though.

It really is a small world, IKWTDS. The foreman on our pool project worked at the club years ago and remembered DH.

This guy knew me right off that bat, introduced himself.  I immediately wanted to know how he remembered but didn't ask because i didn't want to know the answer. biggrin

I would recognize the couple I bought my house from almost 10 years ago.  The first one I bought almost 20 years ago I can't even remember his name.

So, I started the day by making a friend cry. I did NOT mean to do that. I just had to tell her something her child told mine, and she started crying b/c she was upset her daughter wouldn't talk to her about it.

My mom was brushing the mats out of one of her cats Friday night & he bit her. It wasn't much of a bite so she just cleaned it up. Today her arm is red & swollen with lines running up it. She went to the emergency place & they gave her Rx. They also circled the red & said if it extends out of the lines she needs to go to ER & get IV antibiotics.

Nope.  I refuse to get a touch screen computer - simply because I assume your issue is inevitable.

Central air is wonderful.

This is my phone I'm having issues with.

Granted, it is 2 years old.

Lily, if you have a screen protector on it, it may have lifted up in areas and so causing a gap. Or its a SW glitch.

LL, my touch screen laptop also has a keyboard.

We should really put someone else in charge of uniforms. They are ordering me some of my own and he brought a few for me to try to get the sizes. The pants almost fell off and the shirt was at least a size too big. I told him he sucks at guessing sizes.

At least he didn't make any comments this time about finding ones that fit my boobs evileye

Years ago my BF tried buying me clothes once.  I was really small back then & he bought me a size 16 or 18.  I was offended & hurt & threw a fit about him thinking I was that fat.  He explained that he wore a size 36 or whatever jeans so since I was half his size he thought they would fit.  Logically it made sense.  But I think most men suck at guessing sizes.

Thanks.  She said it didn't flair up until this morning even though it happened Friday night.  She said yesterday she was so nauseated & sick feeling she didn't think she could finish her grocery shopping.  She assumed it was something she ate.  She even chucked most of what was in the fridge because she wasn't sure what made her ill.  The doc said the nausea was from the infection.

DH boughe me a shirt or two when we were dating and he was traveling. As souvenirs. But polo shirts. I am NOT a polo shirt person. It's just is so not me! And he bought me an Eagles superbowl special edition jersey. I'm not a sport jersey person. But at least he bought one that came in pastels, so there's that.

So I've been booted to another hangar for like two months working on a billionaires airplane. Which sounds cool but basically all it means is if you scratch something you might as well pack your tool bag and get out.

I can't wait for it to be over! I'm homesick for my coworkers (never thought I would say that)

I have to say that I believe DD had an awesome vaca, all things considered. This is the first vacation that she spent with a sibling. Oh sure, DS has met up with us for a couple of days here and there, but this is the very first time the entire time was spent with him. She has 3 siblings and not once has she spent a week with any of them on a family vacation. Sounds strange to those of you with children all around the same age I bet.

Part of the bonding was that the backseat door is broken, I sat in the back all week and someone always had to let me out (thank you DG!) When it was just DS, DD and I, I let DD ride in the front and she and DS chatted the whole time. Just a nice memory.
