You ever see a name and wonder "where the HECK did that come from"?  I'm not talking ethnic names that you just might not be familiar with, but names that are just....HUH???

I get to see some doozies on old deeds.  

 

For example - Ethelene.  

 

What is that?  I have never heard that before, and this is a long dead woman.

Had a Flight Engineer taking an Aviation Law class from me who was named: Randy Gay.

It did not seem to bother him (anymore) and he laughed about it.

Also with Kathy Balls, I kid you not her father's name was Harry.

 Harry Balls was the beloved mayor of Fort Wayne Indiana. When they put the new government building up for a vote on the name...Harry Balls Government Building won in a landslide. It was on all the news channels and news websites. They didn't name it that after all. 

I knew a Candy Mann, a Richard Hare, and a Richard Gay. oh - and Reignbeaux. She takes the cake.

I worked with a Kennetta. Dad's name was Ken. Mom's name was Detta. So they smashed them up into Kennetta.

Her father, David, was killed in a freak work accident shortly before she was born.

A professor at the university was named Bill Cherry. Due to his crazy antics, he was known as Wild Bill Cherry. He named his son Buster.
