Morning kids. I am over Summer. It is supposed to get really hot tomorrow as opposed to just hot like today. Yesterday it was 90 with real feel of 104. I think today is about the same.
So, a client called me all mad this week b/c I hadn't filed some papers. I told him I was still waiting for his sister's signed papers before I could file. He tells me that she sent me the documents by FED EX while I was on vacation and that they were signed for. So, I spent 2 days looking through every piece of paper on my desk, every file (to make sure it didn't get put in the wrong file), and driving everyone else in my office crazy because I wanted to know who signed for it and they couldn't remember ever seeing it.
So, my assistant came in today (she works part time) and the minute she does, we find it. It was NOT fed-ex, it was regular first class mail, it was not addressed to me, which is why I didn't get it. And she has been gone for 2 weeks b/c her grandmother died and she had to go to California. Now, mind you - I looked on her desk, but I was looking for a FED-EX package, not a plain white envelope.

I just went to toast my roll for my sandwich & there was mold all over the bottom. We decided to order pizza.

The rolls are barely over a week old. The last time I bought them they stayed good for almost a month. I don't know how I didn't notice last night when I packed it.
Wow did I just have a blast from the past. My ex's cousin's wife that I haven't seen in 10 years just popped in to say hello. They had a second daughter that I never met. It was great to see her. She was visiting the doctor next door & decided to pop in & see if I still worked here.

She & I got along great. It was very nice to see her. Before they were married his cousin rented a room from us so she was over all the time. He & his cousin were more like brothers than cousins so we did a lot of socializing with them. She had told her daughters about my fat cat Winston & she asked them do you remember me telling you about Winston as her segue to introducing me.
