I'm ready! today is all about prettying up the lawn, it isn't going to be too humid today so will take advantage and be outside. Then taking DD shopping for clothes and school supplies.
How did it go with the neighbors?

So far, they're quiet. Don't know if/when she came in late last night - and I don't
really care.
I've got too much to do today - Community Association's annual Rummage Sale -
I'm making the chicken tacos to sell. At least I'll have a fan to keep me more
comfortable - runs off a 12-volt (car) battery. DH had it charging overnight, so
it should run for at least 5 hours or more.
It's going to be so hot here today! I think we're going to whip out the jet skis!
FWM I feel for you about the air conditioning! I'm having the opposite problem in my car, my heat doesn't work very well and I'm dreading this coming winter

Running Jesse to a friend's house in a little bit.
Then back home for cooking stuff for tomorrow.
Have fun in the yard and/or on the water.
Chicken tacos do sound good.
Cars without A/C isn't awful unless you're stuck in traffic. Hope it is a simple fix.

We need to quit putting off school supplies, fourth year in a row that Ex- W has demanded that we buy everything without so much as a please or thank you. Luckily he doesn't need a new backpack or lunchbox, those are still intact.

It's probably just the heating coil. Get it checked.

Black. They were black. i started a month ago prepping with the wire brush cleaning and then priming. Been too humid to paint until today plus I've been gone that past few weekends. Just a nice refresher.
I think I will take DD shopping in a bit to the outlets!

Boo. The dryer in the house I rent and share with the upstairs people isn't working. Clothes tumble and get hot, but then they are just damp and hot for hours. The dryer never stops and the clothes never dry. And the metal outside & in get ridiculously hot. Any hotter and it would give you a contact burn. It's going to burn the house down it gets so hot.
Landlord finally came (it's been about 3 weeks), put wet clothes in the dryer, turned it on and declared that 'it spins and gets hot. It works'. Wait - what? We convinced him to come back in 3 hours and check. Meanwhile I've got my clothes (including undies) on a portable rack in the tiny back yard.
So annoyed. I hope he bothers to come back and check out the hot wet clothes.

I use a drying rack, inside my house, for most of my clothes. I only put towels, jeans, and other rugged non shrinking clothes in the dryer. But that sucks that it is broken. luckily, they are not too pricey.

Apparently someone shot six times in the food court. I don't believe anyone was shot but a lot of the injuries were from people stampeding out of there. So far no one has been caught. Good thing we decided to go tomorrow. We were going to have lunch in the food court.
Glad to hear no one was seriously hurt and that you and your grand babies were not there.
Tig, this may sound stupid, but has anyone checked the lint filter?
I ask because I once had that issue, clothes not drying.

SO GLAD you weren't at the shooting, Lindley!
and thank you Lily. I will check again, but we are pretty good about that. The upstairs people have around the clock care for their disabled daughter so the level of laundry is overwhelming. Maybe we missed one.

Lowe's and Home Depot have Dryer Cleaning Kits - about $30-35. You'd be AMAZED at how much
lint you can suck up with one of those babies! It goes into the space where the lint trap is located -
the one you clean after each use. You can also clean out the accumulated lint from the other end
of the hose - the one that goes outside the dwelling.
You attach it to the end of your vacuum cleaner hose - and it really does what its supposed to do.
You'll probably need to empty your vacuum at least once when you're using the kit. I used to take
one to my dear MIL's apartment building - her clothes got dry in about half the time after I used it.
Just got back from the urgent care place. Last Saturday I was stung by a hornet and it has become infected. I have cellulitis now - the doc said if I had waited it could have become much worse. It itches SO much.

For the itching, make a thick paste of colloidal oatmeal and water, and plop it on the site. Aveeno is the brand name, but your local supermarket may have its own brand. Keep the major portion of the paste in the refrigerator - very, very soothing. You'll find it in the pharmacy area - usually on the bottom shelf.
Feel better. :)

Wow good to know thanks!

❤️❤️❤️ Thanks! I will try this!
They gave me an antibiotic and a RX for the itch but told me to only take it at night because it would knock me out. I was hoping for a cream of some kind to put on it. Nope. Just pills. 😢
