I was worried that I would hate the show because it has to be different from the books. I'm halfway through season 5 and I actually like it pretty well.
I am disappointed that they had to leave out so many awesome minor characters. The most surprising one is Griff and his young charge. The books made it pretty clear that those were important characters. The dragon has three heads, right?
The other thing is they really worked hard to make Cersei more relatable. She was much colder and short sighted in the books.
Has anyone else read the books and watched the show? Wanna talk about it?
I have not, sorry. But I do remember the internet story about the teacher that had read all the books, and threatened her class with the spoilers of who would die next if they didn't stay quiet. I thought that was funny.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
Actually, I have JUST started rewatching the whole series. I am now up to season 1 finale and am loving it all over again. I did read the first 4 books but found them to drag on WAY too long. WAY WAY too long. George RR Martin needs to stop blithering and get on with it.
