my Friday off and I am wading through mountains of paperwork, tossing expired coupons and making phones calls to various companies such as my 401K manager and such. It's my "spring cleaning" of paperwork.

I just put the final touches on the front step railings. What was that? A two month long project. Definitely a project that should have been done in the spring or fall. They do look awesome though. Next painting jobs are the trim around the doorway and DD's room. still haven't done that!

Seriously, I have little time to take care of paperwork and need down days just to get through what amounts to only an hours worth of phone calls and paper tossing. But I procrastinate on it. Good news is, I let myself be distracted to do laundry. I even changed the sheets today.

I've been working on my family tree on dad's side. Dad had 11 siblings and only he and a younger sister are left. I have been searching for months for a cousin whose mother got custody of her in a nasty divorce 68 years ago. Last night I took off on a rabbit trail and with a little luck I found her married name. I googled her married name and found a phone number.
This morning I decided to call the number to see if actually I had the right person and I did! She is a delightful woman. We talked as if we'd known each other for years.
I have now identified all of my first cousins. I batting about 90% on second cousins and 10% on third cousins.
