It's been two years since I paid TracFone for my 3 emergency use phones.
For $150 each, I get 24 months of service and 1000 minutes per phone.
Spouse uses hers as a car phone, seems to use 40 or 50 minutes per years.
I used the one in my car once recently, when I left my iPhone at home.
The 3rd one is in the living room, for times when all the regulare phones don't work.
Tracfone just sent me 3 new"3G" phones, since the old ones are "2G" and they're upgrading.
No charge for the new phones.
