Can I just say Yuck!  I made breakfast and mistakenly had bought maple flavored sausage.  I don't like syrups in my meat!

I've never had maple flavored sausage, but I do like syrup with my regular sausage.

Not sure what my day holds. My BFF has a bunch of family visiting and they may be gathering at her house. I am on standby for assistance with things. First think I really need to do is get my nails done, they are way too long.

I also really hope BFF calls. We haven't spent any time together in three weeks, other than a few minutes here and there at work, and that was two weeks ago. I totally understand that her job requires extensive travel, but I miss her!

Maple bacon is good.
Headed to Statesboro to a water park. This is my only day off until the 11th of Sept.

I like maple anything. Good stuff!

Boys have two birthday parties to go to today. One is at neighbors' so they can walk themselves up. The other one is at one of their camp friend's house. Not sure how I feel about that one, but the kid seems nice enough and I've met the mother once in passing and she was friendly.

I've done that before.  It's horrible.  Why would anyone put maple in sausage.  It's just gross.

It is gross, and the sausage seems dried out.

It's usually maple flavorings, not actual syrup. The syrup would probably be better.

Morning, ya'll.

Gross, IKWTDS. I did that one time, but I was making sausage gravy and didn't realize until it was finished. What a waste. Maple flavored gravy is disgusting.

I just tried the maple and bacon flavored oatmeal - it was actually pretty good.
The only thing I would change is that you have to let it sit for a good 10 minutes
to get the bacon bits soft enough to chew. DH liked it - although he thought it
was too sweet for his taste.

I like maple syrup on pancakes, french toast, etc. And I like Maple nut candy - but other than that, I do not like maple flavored stuff.

Today has been totally annoying. I went to get my nails done, which was fine. But while there, I feel my phone buzz with a text message. No big deal, I ignore it. Then another message and another and another. Now I am seriously worried. There is no non-emergency situation I can think of for so many messages that quick. So I pause my manicure to check my phone. No emergency. Just my idiot cousin sent a meme as a group message and people are commenting on it.

After I get my nails done, I finally remember to get my oil changed. My car is just over a year old, so still covered under the service plan. Well, I guess that means they have to use a certain oil. Which they were out of. The guy points to the car next to me and says he used the last of the oil on the car and since the parts department closed at noon (it's not quite 1) he can't get more. He then says to the other guy "they really need to stay open later or something" so this is obviously a problem they have encountered before. I am just annoyed enough that I'm tempted to call the owner - who is a family friend - to complain.

I have settled in for lunch now. Try to calm myself with carbs and my book

Oh, and can anyone tell me why the hell a dude dressed like Wolverine is roaming downtown??

My grandma, mom, and I went to a comedy night at my Church last night for my grandma's birthday. They celebrated her birthday too. I can't believe grandma is 81.

DS went to a friends house while we were out. He had fun and didn't want to leave. He was begging to go to grandma's all day yesterday so he stayed at grandma's when I dropped grandma and mom off.

Since I won't have help today, I might just reorganize the pantry. Little hands made a mess of the pantry. The fridge needs reorganized too.

Maple REAL syrup drizzled on the oatmeal would be yummy.

I didn't that the other morning. So good.

Didn't need a grain a sugar.

 Wolverines!

Any auto store I have known closes at noon on Saturdays.  Mostly because they get very little business after that since mechanics are typically closed on Saturdays.  There only customers are do-it-yourself people.

I've done the lawn work and took DD and her friend shopping.  We stopped at the grocery store since they are having a sleep over and needed snacks.  I plan on feeding them a healthy dinner of chicken breast topped with garlic/tomato/basil and asparagus.  Then they can chow down on junk!

And now I am relaxing on my deck snacking on bagel chips with cream cheese and hot pepper jelly. I should have opened a bottle of wine.

I'm watching documentaries on WWII.

I've seen my late grandfather on a piece of footage once.

It was surreal.

Woo hoo! The ticket office just called and offered DH and DS tickets to the Alabama football game. They had been on a waiting list since the game was supposedly sold out. They are happy guys!

I've been having a real hard time getting back into my diet (sorry, 'lifestyle change') since vacation. I've been good, but it's been miserable. So I decided to go ahead and have a guilt free rest of the day. I'm not going to binge or anything but I am picking up pizza for dinner. I sure hope this helps get it outta my system so I can get my willpower under control.

One of the food channels is reshowing a whole season of the Great Food Truck Race. It's even a season I haven't seen. I know where I will be all night 😀

I'm in such big trouble. I just ordered fabric and I didn't tell him so we are going to get a surprise box in a couple of days and I'll get the old runaround of why am I ordering stuff when I'm broke.

But it was so pretty and really cheap! I'll just work it off this Friday :p

Oh no, I get the blame here. I had some things going on that kept me here today. Of course, those things either annoyed the crap out of me or didn't end up happening. So total fail on my part
