Leftists have reminded the world just how much they hated Phyllis Schlafly. As news of the conservative author and activist’s death spread, Twitter was deluged with tweets celebrating her death.
While most of the tweets were from ordinary members of the public, many others came from columnists and commentators. Here’s Jeb Lund, a columnist for The Guardian.
oh wow! Keyboard warriors indeed! The internet apparently is not all roses and love. Who would have thought that such a great invention would turn our globe into such hateful people? :(
I was on one message board that had almost all the posters celebrating tony snows death from cancer. He died young and left behind a wife and young children .
But I will admit to enjoying reading a couple connected to my Supernatural obsession.

That is in horribly bad taste. Now, in all honestly, there are a few politicians/lobbyists/celebrity idiots that could die that I would certainly not cry over or be sad they are gone (and I'm not going to lie about it), but I would not be posting horrible statements like that online to be seen by her loved ones and others.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
Exactly! It is one thing to not be sad over the misfortune of folks you have come to somewhat despise, but another entirely different thing to spew such horrific hate in writing, in public, for all the world to see.
I can disagree with someone and still like them, after all they have a right to their opinion even if I don't agree with them. It is wrong and shows lack of character to gloat and cheer when someone dies all over the network.
