Yesterday, my boss and I are having a discussion and all of a sudden she goes "oh $hit, it's Tuesday!" I gave her a funny look and said no, it's only Monday. She says oh thank god. And we keep going. Lol

I'm having a lazy day today. I still have t been able to shake my sinus headache. It's been a couple weeks, so I should probably go to the doctor soon.
I will be taking a nap today, though.

ETA: I need to feel better by this evening because we are trying a Lebanese restaurant with another couple. I've been looking forward to this evening.

My boss is retiring & selling the business. This has been in the works since January. We have a buyer & everything was set for 1/1/17. We just found out she wants to move it up to 11/1/16. We are all in a panic. We have no idea about salaries, vacation, health insurance, etc. We have spent the morning compiling a list of all our questions. Since I have met her & spoken to her on the phone I have been elected to ask the questions.

 You need to get a tablet that you can hide under your shirt tucked into the back of your pants, so you can smuggle it into the bathroom and post from there!

Did any of you watch the movie Girl in the Box on Lifetime over the weekend? For some reason I had never heard of that case but after watching I googled & it is just horrifying. For some reason I can't seem to shake it. It is so chilling to me.

It is a true story.  Her name was Colleen Stan.  Google if you want.  It is just unimaginable how she survived.

It rain almost all night Sunday, Monday evening, the county issued a level 1 drought warning.

Which means alternating outside water use.

Overcast here today. DS will get some outside time later since it's cool out. I don't mind the heat (neither does he) but the metal on the playground equipment still gets hot. Hopefully by next summer, he'll be able to understand that just because he's not hot doesn't mean the playground equipment isn't hot.

My cousin is visiting for the week. I timed the run to the airport to pick her up yesterday perfectly. I'm about 15-20 minutes from the airport so I left soon after her plane landed. The airport doesn't allow you to sit and wait at the curb so I wanted to time it to where she'd be at the pick up area when I got there.

MIL took the news of my upcoming surgery well. We didn't want to cause any angst at FIL's birthday celebration so we pulled MIL aside and told her. Whether she's told FIL or not, we don't know. Our phones haven't gone off so maybe she hasn't. Silence is golden!

Our airport doesn't allow you to idle at the curb but they have cell phone lots where you can wait & your pick up can call when they get their luggage & you both arrive at the curb at the same time.

I don't think it is any of your FIL business if you have the surgery. I know he is a difficult man but it really isn't anyone but you & DH business.

 There's a cell phone lot at ours too but I'm close enough that I just time pick up to the person's arrival. There's also plenty of businesses within 5 minutes of the airport that I can hang out at in the event of the delay.

Re FIL - I know it's not his business. But he is family and we keep family in the know about important stuff. He's actually been a lot better the past few months. He still slips back into his old habits at times but I've been successful at teaching him appropriate behavior.

Lexy, my guess is nothing will change in the immediate future. Be proactive and ask if you can be part of the team to put together a benefits package.

Good Burger is a movie with Kenan and Kel. Kel plays a fast food worker who isn't very bright. Good Burger is the name of the restaurant in the movie. I think it came out in the 90s.
