'Tis a long week for me, too. Well, it will be a long three weeks. End of fiscal year we cannot telework.
Today I'm taking a sick day. #1 smacked his hand against a table yesterday dodging his brother's flying foot and may have broken a finger. Hard to tell. I'll see what it looks like when he gets up this morning.
It's going to be a fun day! Started off nice a easy for a Friday morning. Then at 11:18, I notice that the Waste Management trash truck has not moved for several minutes from out front. Turns out they pulled a wire from the pole wires. Driver was nice enough, we discover it is a Comcast cable wire. We don't have Comcast anymore. But now I need to call and find out how to have this wire removed. WM says to call Comcast. So I do. Firsst person was great and referred it to Technical area. Comcast Tech says they don't have any service at all on this street, let alone this neighborhood. I called BS considering we just cancelled a few years ago and neighbor next door still has Comcast. She said that she would refer it to Special Services and someone should be here no later than tomorrow. We shall see considering past experience with them has been less than helpful when we were a paying customer.
At least I have plenty of homework to keep me busy.

I went to put things away that I had to clear from around the furnace for the HVAC guy to do the service. There are dirty, greasy foot prints on my almost new berber carpeting. GRRRRRRR, I've sent pics to the company.

My heater was serviced on Wednesday. They always wear booties even when I tell them they don't have to. They come in the back entry and go down to an unfinished basement.

Years ago my roommate rented furniture from one of those rental places. First they didn't tape or tie the dresser drawers shut. I told them specifically that they should. They assured me they knew what they were doing. So of course the drawers flew out & damaged my wall in several places. Then on top of that they must have just oiled their dolly because it left grease stains all over my silver carpet. I was furious but they did send out professionals to fix my drywall & repaint as well as a professional carpet cleaner. On the plus side I sold the carpet cleaner insurance while he was there & he is still a client 15+ years later.

Oh if they make good on it, I am good with it and will remain a customer. I like this company, well I did. haven't heard back from them yet.

It's took me forever but I've about got things back in order.
Been trying to keep things going, and the kids are doing a great job helping.
Still have some things to do.
But it's getting there.
Mom and dad's end is the worst. Clutter everywhere.
I stay out of there.
Clutter drives me nuts.
