Finishing up the rest of this weeks schoolwork then need to tackle some household chores that have been neglected.
We were supposed to go to a Remembrance Memorial for a sort of friend's son who died in an accident (Her and I used to be so close but stopped due to some of her life choices). She invited is but never sent me the address for her new place. I was ready to go and try to rebuild the fence again.
Church school for the boys, then haircuts for them and DH, walked around a popular lakefront area where there are tons of pokestops and pokemon, now home for lunch and chores. Time to go clean the two rats' cages.
Crockpot meals seem to be okay for the coming week - must bake though. I refuse to go without my muffin/yogurt combo. Although I could defrost the other half of the strawberry chocolate chip bread I made and froze last week, but I like to stockpile!

I start teaching Sunday school next week at my new church, and I sat in the class with the retiring teacher today to see how they do things. The kids seemed...less than thrilled to have me there, hopefully they will warm up to me!
I need to come up with a good icebreaker.

Or was it a bad five minutes that you milked all day?
Having a good, relaxing weekend. After last week, I needed it. Nice dinner on Friday night. Yesterday we went to a car show. The Boy wanted to take both cars, which he obviously needed an assist with. It was suppose to rain yesterday, so we decided to stay in and watched baseball and football. Never did rain, but it was great to just lounge around and watch the games all day. Today is more football, I am enduring the Patriots game. The Colts are up next, so there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Oh, and the Corginators are totally dominating this week. Woot woot!

What age group?
I loved teaching Sunday school.
I had the 3-4 year olds.
Sooo much fun.

Nap first? Then more energy for baking (autocorrect just changed that to 'banging').
And I'm almost finished this scarf. I think. The pattern says two balls, but with just one it is pretty long. Maybe the second ball is for tassels?
Have you seen the MASH episode in which Hot lips starts knitting a scarf at the beginning and by the end its a blanket, and she's still knitting?
Somebody asks how big is it supposed to be and she says "I can't figure out how to stop".

Give them a chance to get to know you. I teach S.S. school too and they don't like it when I'm gone. Kids don't always like change but just be yourself and they will open up to you. I always start with a Prayer and I always ask if they have a Prayer request (if they are pte-school age be prepared for some interesting request) also your first day have a get to know you session. Ask them questions about themselves.

I think you will do a fine job.
Thanks Lindley! I'm more used to teaching younger kids, these guys are 4-6 grade, I hope they're not out of my league!
On a different note, my dogs smell so bad and I've tried a lot of things, so today I patted them down with baking soda to absorb the smell.
