I am going to try my hand at whitewashing my dark brown brick fireplace. Next week the new insert will be put in, and we'll have a nice gas fireplace! Then I'll tackle the brick.

Can you do it prior to insert being installed? It would make it so much easier, you won't have to worry about getting paint on the insert.

Today has been unexpectedly awful. Zoe cat was having trouble breathing this morning so I took her to the emergency vet. He said that it was probably due to the cold all four of the cats have.
Her breathing only got worse, so we are back at the emergency vet.
We may have to put her to sleep. She was fine yesterday.

Thanks, guys. She spent a couple hours in the oxygen tent. The vet says her lungs sound good, she just incredibly congested.
She really freaked us out, but the vet says she should be okay. It's hard to believe, she was really struggling to breathe.
We have to set her up in the bathroom with a humidifier tonight and take her to be regular vet tomorrow.
