Do you shop thrift stores, flea markets, yard sales? I have. I don't have a problem with it.

Caitlyn works at SA and she is constantly bringing home things she has bought.

She just added this to her collection.

Yes. That is a Louis Vuitton beside it and a Michael Kors below it.

When I was working at Goodwill, I found a collector's Skynyrd double album complete with autographed sleeve and an autographed KISS album and jacket.

Sold them for $200.

Have you stumbled across a treasure?

I love that D&B bag. I was big on them back in the day. Now I'm big on bags that I will never EVER be able to afford. cry

I don't think I've ever found a treasure, but I sure as heck have given some away because I didn't know the value!!!!

I've found brand new Brooks Brothers shirts and Talbots sweaters with the tags still on them at Value Village.

She said she only gave $5.50 for that bag.

I remember a set of silver candlesticks we got on a truck at Goodwill.

They were nice and heavy and heavily tarnished. I don't think anyone knew what they were or they would have been sold for the silver.

They were marked $10 each.

Someone bought them while I was on lunch trying to cash my check so I could buy them.

I haven't but I have a friend who makes the rounds weekly between all the thrift shops and Goodwill. She has found quite a few brand name handbags, expensive jeans and just really good deals. For a while she would then turn around and sell it to the resale clothes shops and make a profit.

I don't mind shopping there, but I don't have the patience or interest in browsing all the time.

I think a lot of times, when the really nice stuff comes in, the family is cleaning out after someone has died.

I haven't found any treasures that I sold for a profit. But I have found things at yard and garage sales that I bought where the sellers had no idea what they were selling and it's value.

My mom is BRILLIANT at finding cool stuff. I on the other hand "think" I find a treasure, get it home and think "what the heck was I thinking? This is garbage."
