Beautiful fall day here. I'm back in the office. Only half day, #1 has his follow-up with the ortho. I should have cancelled it. He's fine. If I blow it off, I'll get charged. So.....
It's a rainy, dreary day here. I love it. Should be a quieter day that the first part of the week. Big corporate presentation had to be submitted yesterday. A presentation no one told me I had to work on until Monday afternoon. This morning both the President and VP thanked me for my work and said what a great job I did.

Happy Thursday everyone. My new boss is coming in for a meeting. We didn't know until this morning. Thursday is the day my coworker & I go out to lunch but since she is coming at 1:00 that kind of screws it all up. Grrr I was looking forward to Mexican. Now I guess it's the emergency can of soup instead.

It's been a month since she has slept in her own bed.
She is settled in and my mom is going to be staying with her for at least a week or two.

Remember to leave your cell phone at home or in the car. No cell phones allowed in the courthouse. At least our courthouse. You might want to check on that before reporting.

Thanks! Today's letter was letting me know I might have to appear sometime in the next 4 months. I'm sure if I get called there will be instructions. I hope.
I loved jury duty. Only served once when I was 19. But I get called every few years. Even though I am exempt, I still get a letter to call in the night before, but so far they haven't told me to report.

The first 3 I was released because of my late stage pregnancies, yeah, I got one each time I was in my last few weeks of pregnancy.
The last time, I was released cause when read the charges, one of which was failure to pay child support, and asked if I could be objective, I said he needed to be under the jail for CS alone.
His lawyer got rid of me.

Totally jealous!!!!!!!
I was so excited for jury duty b/c I'd never served, but as a lawyer, they will not pick me, so I just have to sit there ALL DAY with no chance of getting picked. PLUS, our courthouse won't let you bring in food or drinks (only jury members, WTF?) and the vending machines in the jury room SUCK. I mean, cheap nasty pastries, candy, and off name chips. It was awful.
