TGIF!!! I have worked 9 straight days and am ready to be off this weekend. I plan on doing nothing but laundry and binge watching my guilty pleasures.
The great thing about that plan is you can watch while you do laundry and fold the clothes while watching the shows. Putting it all away is a whole 'nother story.

Yesterday I discovered paint pealing from my woodwork that I had painted in September. ARGH!!
So, I took a big chunk of the peeled paint to the store where I bought the paint, which they had guaranteed would stick to oil based paint. You should have seen the stunned looks on their faces!
Anyway, they are giving me sand paper, bonding primer and a new gallon of paint for free! BUT, I still have to do all the work of stripping, sanding and repainting twice!!!
Took me all afternoon to get the paint off of one door. I think this will be a winter project..

If it wasn't for the fact that all the woodwork is real wood, I would buy new, but I can't. I painted three doors, the support beam and all the cupboards plus the deep baseboards. I love the wood! I just have to deal with it.

The fireplace is going in today. I'm so excited. We're converting the wood-burning to gas. Then I will try my hand at white-washing the brick wall and hearth. I want to give it the look of German smear.
