I am going to do my best NOT to work today. I should, but I want to have some fun. My cousin and I are heading over to the city to do some shopping for Halloween decoration supplies. Then back home to go to a haunted house - at a building that's supposed to really be haunted (if one believes in that malarky). Then finishing up with dinner. I'm ready for a day off of fun

have a great day Geeks!

Morning! Going on a hike today. Apparently there are several castles near me, I've already known of 2, but the one I am going to I hadn't heard of. Anyway, should be interesting, fun. early dinner with friends.

DG I would love to do a haunted tour. Is it the building in that parking lot we met you in?

It's on the Main Street, but a few blocks down from where we met. From what I understand, they made it up like a haunted house with people jumping out and such. But the building is supposed to be haunted and the people staffing it are the local ghost hunters. You also get some history and stories of real happenings.

Various old towns back here give haunted ghost tours. There are sightings of various civil war ghosts, apparently. Every house I have lived in that was located on battle ground has had strange occurrences.

Today is a perfect fall day.

I am working on finishing my last project for this term, a powerpoint presentation. Then we are going to MILs to work on stuff at her house. Then out to dinner for a late birthday celebration with MIL (she insists).

Maybe if we have any energy left, a haunted house. Tho that may wait until next weekend.

The ghost tours sound fun.

Never liked staged haunted houses, use to until I was around 10. Went to one with my cousin and one of the rooms had people that would invade your space, actually touching and pushing. Don't like that.

Lindley, thanks. Jesse had his intake session, a walk through and orientation, and did all that stuff. He really seemed to enjoy it. His first day of training is this coming Thursday.

It's a nice fall day here.

Hey, are the leaves changing where ya'll are yet? Ours are, but very slowly.

Haunted houses are fun but usually not scary enough for me. I want to be scared so bad I pee my pants! Bucket list item.

SS has a birthday party today and while he's there I'll be dropping my finished secret Santa project off at the kiln! Then to the real shopping!

But first...I need to drag myself out of bed...

So I ordered a pair of wedding shoes and got them the other day. They look nothing like the picture! Totally different shade of purple.

I'm trying to return them, should be no big deal. But the lady is being difficult! She's like, well they look different because of the lighting. Well no sh** lady maybe you should take better pictures! And now she is begging me to keep them if she is nice and refunds me $12. Um, these were $80 shoes. No!

Haha it's almost making me laugh at this point but come on! Just take the shoes back! I would never wear these anywhere else.

Being a naughty mommy this morning. DS wanted ice cream and I wanted the ice cream carton out of the freezer so I'm letting him finish it off. He'll be bouncing off the walls in an hour or so. Not that that changes anything from the norm.

DH gifted me with his cold. Thankfully, I have a strong immune system so it will be gone by the morning.

Breezy outside. Might have to go out later.

Switched the dining room and family room back now that we have the new fireplace. Most of the furniture is moved. I don't want to do too much as we are having new floors put in and we'll have to move everything back out again in a month or two.

Just got back from my hike. 5 miles. What a beautiful autumn day! I opted not to go out for apps and drinks, although I was really hungry. have a few things to accomplish tonight plus one of the members of this group is a talker who likes to spew all his tired knowledge, you know the type; no word in edgewise. He would have been going out with us and a lot of people bailed because of him.

I'm looking up the next place we are going hiking. It isn't too far from me and I have hiked it before, about a year ago.

Today is an amazing fall day. The weather is perfect!
I went to a craft fair this morning, did not find what I wanted, darn it. I may have to resort to begging a friend that does woodworking to make it for me.
So, I went material shopping. I hope my SS likes it. 😊

Oh yeah.  I've done that.  It's actually one of those fun moments for kids where they are in awe of their usually strict parent.  It is actually a time he will always remember.

 Awww thanks :)

It's funny. He used refuse sweets. Now he loves them. He also loves most veggies and eats a wide variety of foods for a toddler. The 180 on the sweets was odd but I guess he had to inherit something from his dad :P I'm not a sweets person but will occasionally indulge.

Usually. He steals broccoli off your plate.

I wish he liked more breakfast foods but oh well. He's starting to like eggs. He doesn't much like potatoes unless they're in fry form.

My little grandson loves vegetables and chicken. His parents parents (at least my dil, I think my son cheats ) are healthy eaters so they don't give him anything with sugar.

DS woke up from his nap and wanted Triscuits. I let him get some from the bag then grabbed one from the bag and popped it in my mouth. I got this face and the song of his people.

Spoiler

 Bingo!

We're working diligently at nipping this stage. With few exceptions, the food in this apartment belongs to everyone. He's just gonna have to deal with that fact.
