It is supposed to be near 80 today. I suspect that after this week we will be plunged into the winter temps for the next 5 months so I decided to enjoy today. Plan on spending most of it outside, once the rain clears out.

Had a letter for a recall inspection on the van but turns out, it was already addressed in March!
So. The only things I have to do now in drop Monster at the vet, buy some groceries, and that's it.
IKWTDS, I think you should have hot dogs and ice cream on the deck for lunch.

I have a couple meetings today which I'm taking by teleconference. Taking #2 to the doctor since he still has that pesky cough. Probably just the tail end of a virus which started on the plane but I want to make sure.

I plan to clean the front porch today. The kids, plus the neighbor kids have turned it into their fort.. Gosh, you would think kids play here all the time. The yard is littered with bikes and toys that don't belong to us and I don't know what belongs to who. Eight bikes! We only own four of them! Darn rope swing draws all the extras I'm sure. ;)

Czech, you are just the cool grandma of the neighborhood. Don't have to babysit today so I'm getting my nails done, taking a friend who is recovering from surgery out to lunch and a pedicure.
My sister Irene is going to be in Dallas for business, so she's coming to visit tonight.

We had a tire swing. Everyone played on it, even when we were not there.

So, normally DH drives our Flex, b/c I prefer to drive the smaller Mariner. But, he's been gone, and we've been doing stuff with friends so needed the bigger car.
You know those men that baby their cars, and keep them spotless and love to spend a Saturday morning making their car shine? My DH is not one of them. He keeps the clutter out - doesn't have junk and trash in the car, but rarely vacuums or cleans the surfaces, etc. Gross. I had to go to the carwash today, and then spent an hour cleaning it out. Went through almost an entire thing of Clorox Wipes, and was dripping sweat by the time I was done. Now, I just want to go home and shower.

Yes, mine is always a mess with stuff, but I try to keep the surfaces wiped. Just gross.
I have to do more tonight - you know how when you open the door, the bottom part that seals gets so dirty? The carwash doesn't get it, and wipes won't do the job - it's black.

I have two toddlers running around for most of today. Made pasta for lunch - figured it was an easy and quick kid-friendly meal. Z promptly inhaled his portion, got seconds, and inhaled that too. DS followed suit. It's beautiful out so the boys are on the patio playing.
I have to laugh though. Z will sometimes break a house rule and DS promptly corrects him. Good to know DS knows the rules even though he doesn't always follow them.
I escaped work, let the dog out and am heading back into town. I'm meeting my bff for one of those painting parties. I hope she gets out of work in time to make it.

You should. They are so much fun. She made it and we had a great time. With our schedules lately we have barely seen each other outside work. We both needed some girl time together. Oh, and my pumpkin isn't horribly disfigured.
