So, how many Amazon shoppers here use the SMILE setting where a percentage of your purchase goes to your chosen charity?  

 

All you have to do is type smile.amazon.com instead of just amazon.com, and you'll be on the "smile network" so to speak with the same content as your Amazon page.  If you bookmark amazon - change the bookmark to this, and you'll be contributing with no effort.  The first time you go to this page, it will prompt you to pick a charity. 

 

The good thing about this is that many, many items on Amazon you would buy anyway give money to charity.  You can choose from a bunch and local small charities can even register - our school PTO is a partner to receive donations.

I do this. I donate to St. Judes now but I need to look and see if our school is on there.

Target does something similar with the Red Card. If you go to your card online you can pick your school for Target to donate 1% of your purchases too.

 Yes, my card is registered for that - but I haven't used it in about 6 months now.

Hey, and if you want, you can use my school in the meantime!  biggrin

 

 

Although, I'm partial to St. Jude, that's who I had before I switched it to the school, and I feel a little bad switching.  I wish you could halve it.

I use the organization that taught my father how to read. Dad was illiterate until he was in his 40s. He was dyslexic and the school system passed him along until he dropped out.
