My daughter just unleashed on me about this whole political stuff and how no one gets kids and the drug struggle and other things. She went on for 45 minutes. She is so articulate. She understands she is not like other kids, She gets she sees their mistakes with buying in to cliques, she gets that our leaders need to understand her age group's angst because that is where drugs, sex, etc bad decisions start. She blew my mind with her understanding of what her friends are going through and what needs to be done. I know both Kelly Ayotte and Scott Brown personally. I think they need minds such as hers to craft the drug laws and such.

How old is she? If she is passionate about this, then get involved.
11 and I told her she absolutely needs to be involved and that law makers need people like her to let them know the reality. I almost started crying because she was so smart about it. Who the hell raised her? I am not looking for accolades, she is her own self, and I did not do that.

I would say at this point, that start locally. They probably start having Student council and she could run for that. Maybe you want to do some volunteering with her helping to work with disadvantaged youth, bullying, etc.
Does she have any ideas that could be enacted at the school , etc? Sounds like a very smart cookie that you need to nuture her talents!
She is on the student council. She does need to get more involved. It took me a bit by surprise, i don't recall having a political thought at that age.

But I'm pretty sure he will "get it" once out of school and having to live in his fantasy world.

Yes, when I read your post, i was thinking she was at least a teen or older, lol. When you said 11, that was pretty surprising!
I went to meet Ronald Reagan when he ran the first time. I was 17. Mom pulled me out of school to go with her. She said it was more important than attending class. I think it fueled my interest in politics. It also helped that my neighbor and close family friend worked for a Congressman. Her influence remains to this day. She is in her 90's, but sharp as a tack and we're friends on FB.
She called me when she got home from school to ask which news stations had the polling results, I explained how they wouldn't start coming out until 10 or 10:30. She was thoroughly disappointed and stated she would be staying up to watch the results. I did not argue. She has been an amazing turn on my trip in life. So happy I have her.
I have my red "let's make america great again" hat ready. I'm sure the two of us will be fast asleep on the sofa by 10.
