DH made reservations to take us to Trump Hotel's restaurant in DC for lunch next weekend to celebrate my birthday, my mom's birthday, and the election results.
To the west, about 300 acres are still smoldering and flaring over 3 weeks since it started.
To the north, about 100 acres started Monday.
To the east, over 1000 acres are burning unchecked simply because there is no way to get it. There is so much smoke, they can't even fly over and drop water.
I think we are going on day 67 without rain.

Lily - yesterday the smoke and smell reached us here. I walked outside and wondered what was burning. It was from North Georgia.
