My dad and mom came upon a brush fire yesterday. Called 911 and one of the firemen happened to be a friend of dad's.
He said this past weekend, Friday-Sunday, they responded to and extinguished 24 brush fires in their area alone.
Not including the other areas covered by the other fire stations.
Right now, in this area, there is a combined 3000 + acres burned and burning, and it's growing daily.

I'm tired today. Dog woke me at 4:00 am - she couldn't get up and she had gone to the bathroom on herself. It was matted in her fur - it was terrible, and too cold out to give her a bath. I had to put a towel down, lay her down, put on my gloves and cut that mess out of her fur. It was nasty. I couldn't go back to sleep after that.

That's just going to be terrible. The view from lookout mountain is spectacular.
I think it's pretty much closed now to everyone but those who live there.
They are doing voluntary evacuations now.
But they are saying it will become mandatory .

I am exhausted. I has Sweetness and Bruiser from 8:00 yesterday morning until 5:00 last night. They WORE ME OUT. Non-stop. It was wonderful, but exhausting.
Then they brought the new baby (Mad Dawg) over about 6:30 and he was cranky. I was the only one that could calm him down, so I had him until about 10:00.
I love being a grandparent. Spoil them then send them home!

We had a very busy weekend and next weekend will be even more busy, if that's possible.
Yesterday I spent the day teaching myself how to stipple. Then I started stippling a quilt. Not bad, not bad at all. :)
Sounds like we have a snow storm headed our way for the weekend. I hope to get little man on Friday morning and be home before the worst hits. We plan on having our Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday, but that may be a wash out if the storm sets in. Oh well, I guess I will just keep little man. ;)

Is it Monday already? My brain hurts. There is something wrong with my brain. It just doesn't work right. I'm trying to figure out what that thing is. It's trying to take me down in ways I don't understand and it seems to be outside of my control. People from one school of thought say that this is just the way it is and I have to learn to live with it. Other schools of thought say to be patient, recognize the change that has already happened, learn other ways to manage life that will support me through the very long process of change. Sometimes I feel that things will always be bad and I can't deal with it. Sometimes I feel like I have to learn to live with it and other times I feel like I have to learn with having to learn to live with it.
I'm totally vague-posting, but at least I get to post somewhere!

It's trying to take me down in ways I don't understand and it seems to be outside of my control. People from one school of thought say that this is just the way it is and I have to learn to live with it. Other schools of thought say to be patient, recognize the change that has already happened, learn other ways to manage life that will support me through the very long process of change. Sometimes I feel that things will always be bad and I can't deal with it.
