Of course that means the cold will force all the smoke back down.
Today we are under a code red for air quality.
School is out next week.
Trying to get as much done as possible now so we can enjoy next week.

Weird week. I am working today instead of yesterday. And I will work tomorrow too.
Weather is okay. Warm for November which means upper 50s, lower 60s until Saturday. Sunday a cold front comes in and will drop the highs to low to mid 40s.
School work is coming along good but I still don't understand how the professor is grading things. I mean, I critiqued the main assignment in that we did not have enough information to do a complete analysis of the client. Response was that I was going a great job, provide excellent information and keep up the good work.
Hoping on Friday that I can get out and do some SS shopping. I really feel like I am slacking there especially since I have received two boxes myself so far. But I do have some ideas.
This morning at report boss announces we are getting a 2% raise next paycheck. Isn't much but it's something. Then we get an email. Health insurance is going up "slightly" "But don't forget that deduction is before taxes so it isn't such a financial impact as it seems". WTF? Really?
Been cleaning all day with Caitlyn and Jesse's help.
Dropping Jesse at work now, then home for some supper.
We've gotten rid of a whole pick up truck full of stuff today.
Mom better not come in and start complaining.

I'm having a GREAT day, doing easy, stress free jobs today.
That is how the rest of the American worker is this year. If you aren't getting a promotion your COLA is a few % pts but the cost of the ACA is so high, we are actually getting a pay reduction.

So when I arrived home last night, there was a notice on my door that the landscaper had been there to do the fall cleanup. There were more leaves on my lawn and gardens than had been when I left for work; There was an afternoon rain/wind storm so most of the rest of the leaves on the oaks were knocked off. Thing is, they had been constantly calling me to sign up for the fall clean up. I was leary because they always came too early in the season in the past two years and I ended up raking. I told them they could not come until end of November or whenever the leaves were all down, easy to see if they are down. What they told me was if they came early, they would come back. So I made a HUGE mistake and gave them a CC number.
I called and left a VM last night and told them there was more leaves in my yard when I arrived home from work than when I left for work. Got a call back today and "melissa" said well our GPS tracker does the scheduling and if my neighborhood was on the day's route that is when they do the fall clean up but for another $100 they will come back out. I was PO'd and told her who in their right mind would pay for fall clean up when all the leaves weren't down and that I would be cancelling the CC charge and we would not be doing business anymore. Mind you, I hire them for many different items throughout the year to the tune of about 2K/year plus have recommended them to several of my neighbors who do use them.
Later today, I received a call from the manager of the landscaping asking what the issue was. And I laid into him. They are coming back out in two weeks to do another cleaning, no charge. I will not hire them again, will not pay upfront again, and will give them a bad review on social media but only after they come back. I am so PO'd!
Really? Our GPS tracker sent us to your house today and there is nothing we can do about it? (Melissa's words)

The last day of my Bible study was last week. DH's Bible study and DS' AWANA class is still going so off they went. I have Christmas music playing and am enjoying listening to it with no interruptions.

I can't stand when service people come and I'm not home.
Our guy charges $300 but comes back 3 or 4 times throughout the fall and winter seasons. He came last week and got most of them, but I know he'll return and get the ones that have fallen since.
We just run over them with the mower and leave them.
