The washer/dryer is in a "pantry" in the kitchen. Right behind the kitchen table and chairs with bi-fold doors which is difficult to get to. They are going to re-configure the wash/dryer to stack them and turn them, put in pocket doors that slide, rip out the wash basin which we can't get to or use, and install shelving. And tear out the tile floor in the kitchen and the plank flooring in the family room and install the wood flooring we have in rest of the house. Then patch, paint, etc. Relocate some electrical outlets, moving one to the kitchen island. Supposed to take about 7 or 8 consecutive days, but not sure if they will be working consecutively, so it could take longer.
So no T-day at our house this year. Mom, or rather Dad, will be doing the cooking!

I have a job interview today for a job I really want. I don't think it is the right timing though - maybe they won't offer it. Is it weird that I hope they don't offer it? I think that they are only interviewing me because of a specific part of my resume. It's also the only part of the resume that I don't want to repeat, so that would also be a deal breaker. Assuming they make an offer. On a job I haven't done an interview for yet.

I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week. I need to get the ingredients for the recipes my MIL asked me to make. This year she wants: her mom's stuffing, my cheesy biscuits, and peanut butter cookies with a Hershey's kiss on top. Can do.

When you re-locate the electrical outlets, have you considered
putting them up, about waist high? (a) no danger for toddlers
(b) no bending down to plug in the fan/vacuum/etc. I love
having mine so reachable.

interview complete. Not sure what I thought. It was pretty structured for an interview for this position. I am really good at interviews but prefer less structure as I like to chat a bit more. I think that you learn a lot about people from having a simple conversation. One of the interviewers was able to break structure but it wasn't so easy for the other. Sometimes people who have a hard time deviating from the script are hard to work with.
I don't think I want to move - I don't think it is a good time to move. I hate winter and they have harsh ones. I don't want to stay here forever because I hate this city, but I also don't want to move there, I don't think.
