Been awake more than asleep all night.

My brain would not shut up.

Oh well.

Maybe a nap later.

Guess I'll make breakfast.

Have a great day, yall.

And I tried to go to work. It's snowing, 1" came down quick. I got to a mile from my house and turned around to come home. Way too slippery and many accidents. The roads had not been treated.

At least you were smart enough to turn around.

Breakfast made, eaten and cleaned up.

Gotta run Aaron to school.

Good morning! The snow is coming down but it's too wet here to stick. Typical.

Right now I'm just sitting in my car, procrastinating going into work. 4 more minutes and I have no choice!

Happy Monday!

I'm awake. I should probably go shopping for a new Christmas tree.

My old one gave up the ghost after last Christmas.

We'll see.

Have a good day, everyone!smile

We are up as well. Darn it.
Heading home today. Long drive and it's cold out there.
Glad you returned home, IKWTDS!
Stay safe everyone. And I hope you all have a good day.

A lot of places already have them on sale.

40%-50% off.

I saw a 12 foot tree (pre-lit) for under $200.

Not that I have anywhere to put a 12 foot tall tree.

But it sure was pretty.

We got sleet last night which turned to rain and stopped prior to my commute. It's nice to be back in the office so I can update my files, etc.

Well, today took an unexpected turn. It started off with an 8am doctors appointment that everyone at the office forgot about, so I got multiple "where are you" text messages. None from my boss, she knew where I was. And the admin knew where I was. Problem with that is she quit yesterday. Yep, the one that just started, she didn't even last a month. They have now decided that the president needs someone dedicated 100% to his needs. And that someone is me. I spent my morning moving all my stuff to a new office at the other end of the building. And I'm back as the executive administrative assistant to the president. They will be hiring some one for a receptionist role to handle all non-president related duties.

So it's been an interesting day to say the least.

Lovely December Day here! I think we got some sleet overnight too but by the time I was out and about, it was gone.

Been to the bank to deposit rolled quarters, Chiropractor, breakfast, grocery store for shopping and Coinstar ($25 in pennies - I refuse to wrap pennies). I am back home and have sorted one freezer so I can fill it up with stuff made over the weekend.

Then more schoolwork.

Lodge Christmas dinner is tonight.

Did that come with a raise?

I don't know yet. I asked about salary and my (former) boss said they hadn't had a chance to discuss that yet since it happened so quickly. I would be surprised if there is one, and that's ok. They did not adjust my pay down when I was moved out of the ex admin job in march. So technically I'm already at the correct salary, but I wouldn't turn down a raise 😀

Trudy ~ stay safe!

Fort Worth Mom ~ have you tried re-purposing your old
tree? Set it up outside so that it doesn't wobble, and feed
your feathered friends with bird seed balls. They'll love
you for it!

Oh my gosh! DH just "shot himself in the foot!"

He's been telling me for weeks that he will not go to the Historical
Museum fundraising dinner tonight. Understand, HE's the one who
knows most of the people who will be there tonight, and it is HIS
mom's picture that is hanging in the museum. He just doesn't like
to socialize.

So. I offered the extra ticket to one of my friends, and she happily
accepted it (I'd bought two - they were only $14 each), and I so
informed dear hubby. At this point, he's happy to be off the hook.

About two hours ago, I got a text from my friend - the weather is so
crummy here (cold, damp, misting, ugly) she's not going to take a
chance on getting another cold.

DH comes by my computer desk and says: "Too bad your friend is
going with you tonight - otherwise I'd go with you."

BWAAAAHHHAAAAAHHHHAAAAAH!!

I've snagged him! In a few minutes, I'll go iron both his red and
his green shirts - gotta give him a choice!  biggrin

DH actually had a good time, until the auction started,
and then he was bored to tears. I won an "egg-
stractor" (as seen on TV) that peels hard cooked
eggs. Silly thing. All you need is an empty mayo
or peanut butter jar, with a lid; fill it 1/3 with cool
water, drop in a cooled hard cooked egg, and shake
the devil out of it. All the shell comes off in small
pieces, with nothing stuck to the egg. Takes maybe
15 seconds. I think I'll give it away at the Seniors'
Christmas Party!

I did bid on a round cheese board with 5 implements -
it sells for for $65, so I got a bargain at $20, which
all goes to the local Historical Museum. Good time.
