I'm going Christmas shopping today. I just have a couple things to get today. Going next week with my mom for the bulk of what I have left to get. Trying to decide if I want see if one of my friends is available or just go alone.
Tough decision. It's fun to go with someone. But, it's easier to focus alone. At least it is for me.
I want to wear a sweater dress to church but it's supposed to be 80° today.
It's 62 this morning. I changed from a sweater to a top with a vest and now I see a stink bug in the house. Ugh.
The boys have RE this morning and we'll run out and grab some last minute gift cards for their teachers, karate instructors, etc. Maybe a box of Christmas cards to hand out to co-workers since I ran out of the photo Christmas cards I ordered....cut up the fudge and put them in boxes and have the boys deliver them to neighbors. And some time today I must plan my Christmas Day feasts.

Oh, and that is real feel. Wind chill is in the -30's.
Heading for a high of maybe 16 above zero, but it's going to have to hurry to get there.
I am wearing four layers of clothes. I feel like a stuffed penguin.
May all you who are not in the deep freeze, enjoy the warmth of your day. :)
To you.
To me, it's ridiculously cold.
I live is the south, it's supposed to be warm!

I have waitressed. Been a while. I have also worked retail, bartended, been a cook at a snack bar at the bowling alley, worked at a shoe store, and done phone surveys.
I just have a totally random question and it's pure curiosity. So the server takes our order, but never brings it to the table, some other server does. Why is that? Then they come right after to make sure everything is okay.
I'm just wondering, maybe they aren't supposed to transport the food or something?

Or was it a bad five minutes that you milked all day?
They were probably busy and asked the other to help.

So it's supposed to be a wintery mix happening right now.
Hope everyone gets home ok.

I lot of restaurants are doing that now. I think it is for efficiency purposes. The waitress runs around taking orders and re filling drinks, etc. And as soon as the food is done, others have the job of delivering it to the table so it doesn't sit long. I like it, makes the service so much better.

So happy with my new faucet. DS went to see friends and watch the game. So I have some alone time. DD is in her room, or as she says "Narnia". We told DD we are having burgers tomorrow night but aren't telling her its the meat from the deer DS caught, well not until after she eats it. I know this week is going to go by fast. It will be nice, fun, etc and over all too soon.

Food runners help get to food to the table while it is hot and fresh. It leaves the waitstaff to get everything else to all their tables like drinks, napkins, etc. Also, with the waitstaff stopping by just after, it can be a quick way to get anything that is forgotten or if you food is not right, corrected.
