LOL @ controversial. I grew up with this being called the flu. I don't think it's a regional thing, but probably a generational thing. Your parents probably called it that, as mine still do. But I think we all understand what we're talking about, so it's all good. Well, the bug isn't good, but you know what I mean.

It's often called stomach flu. So, that isn't an uncommon term.
I always heard it being called the stomach flu. Yes I know it really isn't the flu and it isn't a big deal or a horrible tragedy because someone calls it a stomach bug.
Take care of yourself, I have been in the ER with the flu, and had complications that caused me to miss a month of work from the flu. I am sorry you are sick!
Are you showing any signs of improvement at all? Please take care of yourself; this is definitely not the time of year to be down with any kind of illness...
