OK, this weekend, i cleaned out my closet. I bought some hangers that can hang multiple pair of pants and shirts. I also got one for my scarves. And, one that has hooks for my closets. Then, i got some nice square glass spice bottles on amazon and put all my spices in these bottles. Looks super neat and nice. Small things that make life seem more organized and easy to manage! I also got rid of some clothes and things to Goodwill.

You mean to a smaller bed? We pretty much downsized. We bought a smaller house and I prefer that. It's cozy. And, easy to clean it. However, i do have to constantly purge our stuff to keep it from getting cluttered which suits me. I have no problem getting rid of stuff when i am done with it.
I have a basket in the corner of the guest room where I put clothes and items to donate. It's overflowing now, so I'm just waiting for one of the charities to call. They usually call me monthly.

Having the new pantry has helped enormously.
I have a corner in my bedroom where I put the clothes to be donated. When the pile gets to be annoyingly high, I bring it to the Goodwill, There is a donation center about 2 miles from me so very convenient. I've been keeping up on my purging, really all I have left is to organize the garage. I've gotten rid of the junk but the remaining stuff needs to be put on shelving and such.

My favorite thing I found this year was the textile box at the school. It's one of those USE AGAIN clothing boxes. It's not a charity box, but the school gets a donation based on the amount of clothing and textiles put in the box. The best part is that you can put in OLD, nasty stuff that isn't good enough for goodwill because they recycle the fabric. So, orphan socks, stained clothes, old dishcloths, used up shoes, worn out bathing suits.... I have such a guilt complex actually throwing stuff in the trash so this has served my purpose well. I've been able to get rid of a lot.
And don't forget - the animal shelter loves old towels.

Yes.
I have a queen and it served me well when the kids were small.
But I don't need it anymore.
I'm thinking a full size adjustable would be perfect for me.
And it would free up a lot of space in my room.
I want to get rid of the big br suit and get something more practical for me.

LOL if I downsized my bedroom furniture I would have a whole lot more decluttering to do! Not happening. Leaving that chore to my kids when I die.

They bundle those things and sell them to third world countries, specialty paper manufacturers, and places like that.
SA does this as well.

I don't have a whole lot. One 5 drawer chest and half a closet is enough for me.
And they are not full.

Caitlyn works at SA so I send stuff with her quite often.
Next stretch of nice weather, I'm getting the boys to pull everything out of the top of the house.
I've got a household in storage up there.
This kitchen is going to be emptied of all the clutter, mismatched dishes and such, and it's getting otganized.
I've got a serving for ten up there still in the boxes.
And other things.
Use it, sell it, or donate it.

Growing up, I didn't have a big room and there was no closet.
My room was 6 feet wide and 9 feet long.
I had a pipe on blocks built in the corner to hang clothes and a chest of drawer.
I'm good at keeping it small, finding a place for everything and keeping everything in its place.
Rules for clothes, if I haven't worn it in a year, it goes.
