LL, what a coincidence! Just this last weekend I had promised myself to join Twitter and Instagram. I accomplished the Twitter goal but not yet on the Instagram.
My motivation was to first-hand follow our President Elect's tweets, LOL!
I use Twitter and instagram to keep up with thing concerning my favorite shows.
But I'm not using twitter as much any more.
But it was cool when Jim Michaels responded to my Tweet.

I follow Trump on FB and his tweets show up there. I have had a twitter account for years, but never really log on except to check the schools to see if they are going to be on delay or close due to weather. I have instagram and follow my niece, because she is a photographer and that is the only way I can see where she's been and what she is up to. Never had a snap chat account.
I don't have any of them. I don't understand the attraction to telling the world "I just had the biggest bowel movement ever! Here's a picture!" or "I just made box mac & cheese, here's a picture of the box!"
I don't want to post about every little minutia of my day, and I sure as hell don't want to read about the minutia of everyone else's day.
1 is personal and 1 is a reunion page I run for the family.
We are spread all over and it helps keep people informed about the annual reunion and they younger generation is really connecting with it.
Now when we get together, it's easier to talk to each other.
I talk to cousins I never knew I had and recognize them out in the real world.

I have all of them. But I don't use them. Instagram is for pictures, and the same people I have on that are on FB so it seems redundant. I don't see a point to Twitter. Snap chat is fun with kids- because of all the fun filters to take pictures with, but we really don't use it either.
I only downloaded snapchat cuz it has funny filters that you put on your face. I uploaded a good one from new years to my facebook as my profile picture and I have gotten a lot of lols out of it. here is one compliment I got the other night...
"That News Years profile video clip is so freaking cute It's hard to stop watching it. It's cuter than a baby deer licking the head of a baby rabbit while a dog is watching leaning it's head to the side. You should think about doing commercials. You have what it takes."
I have FB under a different name from my own. I have fired a lot of people in my day and upset a lot of customers. I don't trust the privacy settings to keep me safe so I use a fake name and only have 25 friends, almost all family. I use it to keep up with family and keep them informed of our day to day.
I don't do Twitter or Insta. Don't see the point.
I use Snapchat to keep in touch with DD. When she went to college she said it was the best way to keep in touch with her so I use it for that. And only that. I snap her once or twice a day and she does the same. We have a streak going of over 100 days and so we are determined not to break it. The geo tags are fun. When you are in a city there are different filters with the city name or landmarks on them. Those are fun to see. When DD travels for school she makes sure to send a snap with the geo tag she is in.

Swipe left. They are by the filters with the altitude and the temp on them. I will screenshot one later and post it so you can see what I mean. They are pretty cool. The school we live at has one. DD's college has one. Most airports have one specific to the airport you are in.

The view out of my office window - overlooking the trash, recycling, and compost bins. Our town has several windmills so that's on the geo tag. This town has 3 different tags but most have one or two.
