I saw on boss man's calendar that he's interviewing for my replacement (kind of) tomorrow. This position was never meant to be permanent, but I thought it would last longer than this. But, I guess I am going on 4 months and who knows how long it will take to hire someone that sticks - the last one didn't even make it two weeks.
I get to go back to my old job working special projects for the Sr VP. And the VP of sales told me he's lobbying to get me back on his team. I guess it's good they're fighting over me, but would they just make up their minds!
Anyhoo, stopped for a soda because I need a pick me up. Stayed up to watch Butler's embarrassing loss last night.

I see my dentist every 6 months, whether I'm ready or not. They make me book before I leave or else they would never see me again, they're afraid. DH goes every 6 months, too, and gets cleaning, etc., same time the boys get theirs done. Which reminds me, I'm supposed to make an orthodontist appt. for them....
Warm here. The morning did not get off to a good start. Took 20 minutes to get out of the garage. The door wouldn't open, and DH was in the shower. He is not handy anyway, and eventually he just raised the door manually so I could get out. The door works off the car remote, but not at the box on the wall. Weird. First world problems.
It can be a little annoying. But when they've put me somewhere I wasn't excited about, I knew it wouldn't last long lol
One VP that's become a bit of a mentor said I should take it as a compliment. He calls me the Swiss Army knife of the company, I can do anything. And it is a compliment that they trust me to get the job done wherever they stick me. But it gets frusterating just getting into a project and getting reassigned - and handing off the 95% finished project to someone else to finish. It also is very tiring having to keep moving all my crap from office to office. But, my "flexibility" is something they always praise.
It sucks, yes, but I don't get too worked up about. I have a peace about it and know that eventually, I will find my place. I have total faith in that.
Glad it is almost Friday, still sick and just want to rest. But I need my nails done and pedicure this weekend, or maybe after work today since it is going up to 60 today in PA!

Is this a bad thing? Getting mine trimmed tomorrow and not happy about it. Only cuz I really want my long hair back but it isn't growing fast enough to where trims don't completely discount any growth I have had. And not getting it trimmed is not an option cuz hair gets dried out and breaks off when you style it on a regular basis.

It's been another hell week for me. the 2 week shut down at Christmas is great but cause urgencies at work. Such as being awarded Gov't contracts that I have to baseline in the next two weeks. Hate the Gov't releases so many contracts at the end of the year, but having worked on their side I get it. I am just crazy busy.

Post holiday is slow for us so this is the time that I tend to dig into big projects. I announced one today (getting our store certified to take WIC vouchers) and it went well. When I announce the second (an overhaul of the backroom) the staff will riot. Lol. They don't do change well.

It can be annoying. But it's an important community service and one of our founding principles is the concept of food justice and service to the community. It's an important step for us to take towards that end.

Just found out I've been approved for accepting clients who use the 'criminal victim assistance program'! People apply for CVAP after they experience a crime and require social services to recover from it. It covers not only counselling but also some medi-care if people have to leave work, dental if reconstruction is required and prescription medications if not otherwise covered. Yay! Client get free trauma counselling and I get paid!
